PSA: In case you get autofilled as support and don't usually play it...a monkey could play Leona.

And besides, she is crazy strong right now. With CotC she can provide a frontline for almost your entire team.

And you need to know NOTHING about her, or supporting. Its a braindead point&click champion, with barely any skill required to play.

Do yourself a favor and try it.

Ya but Leona isn't about how complicated her kit is, it's when you choose to use it. Sona's even easier and you can't hardly miss your abilities, you just have to aim your Ult right.

Anyway, I find it a gross oversimplification to suggest that if you just pick an easy Support champ you'll do fine. If someone has no clue what to do they should practice it a little bit, not only so they can be an asset to their team when autofilled, but to expand their knowledge of the game to improve their performance as a whole. I regularly see Supp mains stuck in low elo because they make no effort to do it right.

^ what they said. That and leona is way easily countered. You have to hit your ulti just right. You need a team that actually follows up/can follow up, etc. "frontline for your entire team" is not true.

Honestly youd have an easier time using braum then leona. Auto and the team does the CC. You sit there with a shield and block all projectiles. You get up close and ulti enemy team. Slow prersists and you just auto or sit back and put up your shield and block everything going that way. You know. Just braum things.

Lets forget for a moment how ridiculously low the cooldown of that thing is. Even without it, Leona is a walking CC machine.

You need a team that actually follows up/can follow up, etc.

Thanks captain obvious.

Of course its a simplification, but I am addressing this post at people who have no clue about the role, and are unwilling to practice.

And for such people, Leona is a perfect choice.

Umm no. Probably the easiest is Janna. Or maybe Soraka.

If you pick Leona into an experienced support/adc team you are going to get your shit pushed in. Leona is one of the easiest opponents I could wish for, I'll bully her and her adc out of lane all day unless they are really on point cause her range is shit. By the time she's thinking about maybe trying an all in she'll be 1/3-1/2 health and just outright die if she tries.

A lot more goes into playing support than your post implies.

That's what a lot of them think before I facilitate a double-kill for my ADC.
