Why are support mains so bad

I'm a support main.

Why are support mains so bad at like, everything besides supporting? Seriously if I take support when somebody calls it and states that they are a support main, they feed in the role they get. No I'm not talking like 3 deaths and no kills, I'm talking like sitting in the bottom lane or top lane farming with TP up and building MR against that Zed that has 11 kills because of that person. This is every game, I have not found a single support main that when I take the role they are just a handicap to have on your team.

I'm in gold, is this normal?

They are "supporting" and are not used to playing Extremely aggresively and dealing burst damage. They don't know how to use their damage fully and pull of Nifty Combos.

It depends on the type of person you are honestly. If you dont like to be aggressive in your roles, you might not do well if you start off with supports. I however, love to be an aggressive support, which helped me transition to other roles.

Support is the role no one else wants, so they never had to learn another role I guess, since they almost always get it.

I'm a support main, but I'd have to say my worst role is mid, mostly because I don't get much opportunity to play it. I started supporting back in 2013 when people trolled games because they were forced to be support. I learned the hard way how much people hated that role.

The way I see it, most people are just forced to be the support because every other role was already called first, and in actuality there are much fewer willing participants to be supports. I count myself among the latter. The door here swings both ways. While you have very few people who are willing to be the support, let alone a support main, those people in turn will not be able to practice other lanes because they're pidgeon holed into being the support time and again.

But this is just my experience.
