Why are we punished when someone goes afk?

If your losing hard and someones goes afk is one thing but when one is winning and says "g2g ni" they need to go fucken uninstall their game, but you get punished and waste hours of your time of one loss, how is this a thing??? Why do you think this game is going to last years when the team gets punished because of an afk?
