Question Regarding Captain GP Skin @Riot

In my first, or 2nd, Butcher's Bridge game I got Gangplank. Does that earn me the Captain Gangplank skin? =P

No, you have to own him, and it has to be a match made game (so one where you can pick your champion)

Pretty sure matchmade counts ARAM, otherwise you couldn't have earned one of the icons playing either SR or BB

TLDR: Bilgewater: Burning Tides sails away on August 10 at 2:00 AM PDT. You can earn the free Captain Gangplank skin if you own the champion and play a full matchmade game with him (or if you’ve already played at least one) before the event ends.

You won't unlock GP and the skin by playing him from the free rotation. Your match should count, but you'll have to buy him.

No, you have to actually own him, and then play a game with him :P (Wait, Valkyrie Witch was wrong? What have I done!!!)

That's why I said "should". It does imply that it works but it's not absolute. I haven't seen anything that says the game won't count retroactively.

Update: I was correct. At the end of the event, it will check for two things; 1. You own GP, and 2: You played GP during the event. There's no order to its check. Here's my source.

I do own GP, I didnt play with him tho, besides that butchers bridge game
