On-hit Items Concepts

Besides trying to make customization and build diversity; the main goal to this post is introduce new items that make on-hit builds viable (AP Varus anyone?). A big thing this can do is shake up the bottom lane instead of seeing standard AD marksmen we could potentially see AP/on-hit variations of it, or just straight on-hit builds; rather than standard AD/AS/Crit all the time.

Typhoon Claws: [yes, this is the black market item, very fun and can make more champions viable] Recipe: Pickaxe (875g) + Dagger (450g) + 675g = 2000g

Statistics: +30 Attack Damage +20% Attack Speed +UNIQUE Passive - Phantom Hit: Basic attacks grant Malice Charges upon hitting an enemy. After 3 stacks, your next 3 attacks will be at max attack speed, but deal -50% damage. Charges expire after 3 seconds.

Phoenix Bow: Recipe: Recurve Bow (1100g) + Needlessly Large Rod (1250g) + Amplifying Tome (435g) + 215g = 3000g

Statistics: +50% Attack Speed +100 Ability Power +UNIQUE Passive: Deal 10 bonus magic damage on-hit. +UNIQUE Passive: Deal 50(+25%AP) magic damage on-hit behind your target to all enemies struck, does not affect your target. [width: 350 units; range: 400 units]

Rejuvenating Egg: Recipe: Hextech Revolver (1200g) + Needlessly Large Rod (1250g) + 750g = 3200g

Statistics: +100 Ability Power +UNIQUE Passive: Heal for 20% of all magic damage dealt, including from on-hit effects. One-third the healing for multi-target spells.

Vampiric Bow: Recipe: Vampiric Scepter (800g) + Recurve Bow (1100g) + 1300g = 3200g

Statistics: +50% Attack Speed +UNIQUE Passive: Deal 50 bonus physical damage on-hit +UNIQUE Passive: Heal for 20% of the damage dealt from on-hit effects.

The Rod's End: Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod (1250g) + Amplifying Tome (435g) + 815g = 2500g

Statistics: +80 Ability Power +UNIQUE Passive - Final Penetration: On-hit effects ignore 35% of the target's armor and magic resistance.

The Scythe's End: Recipe: Pickaxe (875g) + Long Sword (360g) + 1265g = 2500g

Statistics: +50 Attack Damage +UNIQUE Passive - Final Penetration: On-hit effects ignore 35% of the target's armor and magic resistance.

The Final Penetration will not stack with Void Staff or Last Whisper, only the greater value will apply; so these items are to replace the Void Staff/Last Whisper slot for on-hit builds, but only work for on-hit effects and not all resistances respectively for all sources of the damage type.

OMG.... I love this concept so much. I would love to see more ap on hit builds.....but they seem to be neglected by riot. Sated devour-er is such an interesting item but its reserved for the jg so so no ap luv there outside of the jg. I love this idea as I main ap Lucian who has a lot of potential for on hit effect in general... the problem is on hit items simply lack raw damage. Murumana for example takes forever to build, uses too much mana when attacking, consumes mana when farming(so you constantly have to toggle it on and off or be oom all the time... annoying asf for an item that is suppose to help with mana usage) and the damage gain pails in comparison to sated devourer. Even on Lucian who can double it output on every passive proc sucks compared to his recommended build.

I wish riot would take some of those items in consideration, and we can finally have some build diversity.

Would not go AP Lucian he benefits from nothing, his passive applies on-hits in full though; but like ap on-hit bottom lane (possibly mid) taking over the marksman role like AP Varus, Kayle, AP Teemo, AP Kog'Maw [different than mage kog], etc etc can mix up the bottom lane, they still function like marksmen but have drastically different builds and make games more dynamic and open up new comps ---

side note, in general i really want like 95% of the black market items into the actual game

lol ikr right ... I'd like to see the black market item permanent on the rift. BTW Lucian w and r scales of ap and he doubles nashors damage with his passive. It's the lack of real on-hit items that hold's him back. But he is viable. I play ap luc mid all the time and almost always win my lane

The item concepts are really cool, but you are missing the point of the ADC.

Yes, one of the ADCs roles is to deal consistent damage to anyone in range during team fights.

But the MAIN role of an ADC is to take objectives. Those being Turrets, Dragons, Barons, and Inhibitors.

So unless you want every single one of these on hit effects to work on turrets, it wouldnt change anything bot lane.

marksmen are ranged sustain damage dealers--- ability power does increase tower damage

Though it could be said you are missing the point of the idea of "shaking up the meta".

The whole idea is to make it so that there can be other Roles, roles that will bring advantages to the table that will be strong enough to compete with the ADC Role's advantage of taking objectives quickly.

The point is, if they arent capable of taking towers, then they wont shake up the meta.

And if they are capable of taking tower, they will simply become the only meta, because stacking MR is harder to do than stacking armor (still).

I love that phoenix bow! Put a timer on the bottom unqiue passive though imo :P

then that would defeat it being an on-hit item, it cannot damage your main target

Veigar Thresh Hyper Late Game Left Clicks

Basic attacks are right clicks--- also they dont have ap scaling on-hit effects, only have Nashor's Tooth

They don't need it. Nashor's tooth is an on-hit effect, thus can synergize with Rejuvenating Egg

  • Thresh gets on-hit magic damage equal to souls

But Veigar would be better just to Wota, and he has no on-hit effects

i know thresh as on-hit effects, but i doubt damage builds can be viable on him--- as far as having fun in customs and normals go then knock yourself out go on-hit AP thresh will be very fun maybe with a hurricane too

I think everyone is missing the point here..... We want diversity on builds.....on hit items are lacking. Sated devourer is really good, but tends to be a little op and is limited to the jungle. There are other non jg champs with good on hit effects.
