The build path for the new BC is useless for riven....

RIven is all about the early snowball if you go for ruby crystal what kind of snowball damage you will have for your LVL 2 cheese?

And even if you go for long sword then even if you take teh FB you would go back to buy a ruby crystal in order to start building for BC so you dont build any early brutalizer which mean less early damage way less early damage....

and the second item? oh god even more useless the only good that provide for riven is CDR but not raw damage....so its not a smart idea to rush BC!!

The new BC would be good for Garen/Darius/Xin (Special for xin) because garen suffer for the same problem not more an early brutalizer but garen can still build tank and have some good damage while riven cant!

But the point i'm making is that with 5% cdr from masteries, black cleaver and cdr boots she gets the 40%. Therefore she only needs 2 cdr items instead of 3 to reach the 40%, as well as giving her 30% armor shred (almost the same as last whisper's armor pen) and some health.

I'm not saying "RUSH EEEET", I'm saying that it's going to be great on Riven and that it might become a core item.
