Mother of God, I remember being Singed and saw a Dced vayne bot lane. I was pretty fed but Vayne had been shitting on my bot lane all day. They were afraid of going near her just to kill her. I took this opportunity to get that quick shutdown money. Mother of God it was horrible, her support Nami used ult to knock me up and Vaynes auto attacks shit on 90% of my health even though I had thornmail and forzen. Ezreal had to ult and finish her just to save me.

The enemy team doesnt get any notification that you are afk....and many people will stand still and wait pretending to be afk to bait you.

I believe "risk averse" or "cautious" would be better discriptors here.

I had a similar experience, I was against the nicest ziggs as Veigar. He could tell I was lagging hard, and was like dude i'm not gonna poke you until you let me know you're ok. I was like dude thanks. We won that game, eventually my lag went away, and it was one of the best games I ever had

Once I was playing my baybay Katarina and had a Vel'Koz that was AFK for a while at the beginning of the game. So I made a peace treaty and agreed to farm with him. I actually had a lot of fun that game for some reason. Then his jungler came and ganked so I ended the peace treaty and taught him a lesson. T:

Why? It's a free 300 gold. It's their fault for being afk. They have shit internet? Not your problem. They should know and expect this. A personal emergency came up? It's their choice to leave the game for it, seeing as nothing is physically forcing them to. It helps you get the win, so it's pretty worth it.

the thing was with my dc it happened randomly it wasn't laggy at all and i lost my lane cause of it

How is that your opponents fault? They took an advantage that was right in front of them. Look at every lane like combat, if someone sneezes during a fist fight, you take that chance to drop them on their ass. You don't take risks in combat.

I play ranked 5s because at my elo soloQ is a terrible experience. good luck climbing when 3 games out of 5 are a coin flip.

(I play ranked once every few months to "taste the waters", last time my heimer mid used flash R to get the blue buff I was giving to him at level 6)

If you mercy someone in ranked you probably deserve to lose... always punish afk/dc because people will do the same to you and it evens out eventually over time

I'd have to disagree with this statement. If you deserve your rank, you shouldn't be afraid of the enemy team being able to comeback from an afk or dc. If you're as good as you say you are, you should be able to get there.

Had a trundle on my team that was afk under turret because something happened IRL.

My enemy laner Yasuo decided to engage him while he was afk. Yasuo died to AFK trundle.

The only time i let that slide is if i'm playing some kind of fighter game (like BlazBlue, UNIEL P4AU etc) then i won't touch you until you come back (or never if you don't come back hell LETS AFK TOGETHER). But this is a MOBA wth do i look like letting you sit there afk for any reason? son i'm here to take yo nexus! The champs and runes i want aren't going to pay for themselves! i already have to deal with 4 of your other non-afk possibly-better-than-my-team teammates! Il take any advantage i can get (not cheating ofc).

I had an AFK Garen in top lane once; he was just standing by his tower not moving and would only attack creeps when they came close enough for him to automatically do so.

So, being the nice guy that I am, I just took his tower and left him standing there and roamed elsewhere; I can only imagine his face when he came back from that.

I have had mercy in the past. Someone would afk(in rank) and I don't kill him and just farm even when he connects. So I'm allowing him to catch up in levels(not farm) when all of a sudden I get 3 man ganked by the jungler, top, and the mid I allowed back in the game. He was even the one that initiated it.

My point? No more mercy. I'll first blood any afk in front of me.

This is something that really annoys me, but i wouldnt call someone a noob for it. It's a moral thing for me, I've laned against people who dcd, and told them I'm fine with farming until the first fight or he/she roams, then it's open season, which usually ends up OK for both of us, but then I've also had people stab me in the back calling their jungler to gank me. I don't like it. I don't approve of it, but in the end that's all. It's not exactly punishable, at best you could maybe swing for Negative Attitude, but I doubt that'd go anywhere. What I feel is too far though is when you 3 man goon squad the poor guy. THAT is just cowardly.

That is assuming you aren't pushing their t2 or something. You can't expect anyone to let you bag free towers cos "but mah DC q_q"

One time when I was still very new to the game back when I was maybe level 14ish I was playing with one of my friends who was diamond 1 at the time, so not only was I at a huge disadvantage due to the enemy team all being level 30, my friend told me they were all diamond and platinum players as well. I was going vs Kassadin and i had never seen one before. Let's just say I didn't even come close to winning my lane, I got my ass handed to me. Anyways, later in that game they were all dancing in the river with most of my team and I came in full try hard and killed them all (getting my first kills of the game). At the time, I didn't even realize what they were doing, I was so frustrated with how much better they were than me I just thought I had gotten a lucky break. In the end they all reported me and I got a one week ban (I don't even remember what for), and stopped playing league for about 4 months. So that happened.

I wouldn't hesitate to kill a player who dc'd. I play to win, and the enemy player would do the same. Even if you were afk for the first 5 min and come to lane 6 lvls behind, you better believe I'm going to f**k your day up when you get there.

Always punish those who go AFK. Punish those who have problems with their connection too. If you play ranked, make sure you can commit time for that match and also make sure your PC is in good working order or...

Yup yup, commitment has serious occurrences in daily life, ranked is no different. If one's immature childish ass is not ready for it, stick to normals, or even better, play games that don't require any sort of commitment. Like Call 'o dooty, or even try singleplayer for a change, see how gaming was 8 years ago when you didn't have league of leavers.

Exactly. I had 2 weeks without ranked games recently and you know why? My stupid router would disconnect and restart twice a day, sometimes not even once but... Imagine disconnecting at start of match and loosing 2 or 3 minutes while reconnecting...

That is too much risk and it would not only put me behind, but also handicap my team.

That's much easier said than done. Not everyone has a schedule of when their parents will want to talk to them, when their girlfriend/boyfriend will wanna hang out, when someone will cut the electricity, when an earthquake happens, when someone tries to rob your house, when the baby needs diaper changing, when you need to fill in your friend's work shift, etc.

Hardly parents want to talk tell them you will when your finished, same with girlfriend/boyfriend(or have them play with you), diaper needs changed you most likely shouldn't be playing to begin with since you obviously are suppose to be watching said baby. Only real reason to afk is something that's 100% out of your control natural disaster(tornado, earthquake, storm knocking out power, etc), Friend/Family member is in some sort of accident(game isn't worth someone possibly dying), etc.
