I can't lie, It's super freaking frustrating when you use your Ultimate as whatever champion you are playing and he goes all "lol nope", and being able to do it again in 5 seconds if he has max CDR.

You have to remember the psychology of Fizz players. They think they're godlike because they play a super difficult champion. So you have to use that against them (kinda like Zed). You gotta butter them up in /all chat. Saying stuff like, "Oh wow this is a tough matchup". When they make a decent play (aka the only play Fizz makes, Q/W in and E out, super difficult amirite?) you have to congratulate them.
And then. When the time is right. You end that fishing trip with a Q->W->R combo. Haha, screw Fizz.

He wouldn't be so much of a problem if point-and-click hard CC wasn't so rare anymore in the game. The way you counter annoyingly mobile champions is with targetted hard-CC. The problem is, 
now goes top lane building full tank so even if you can hard-CC him there's no guarantee he will die. He will go in, kill your squishy, and come out unscathed or (if you hard-CC him for a bit) partially scathed.

fizz is in fact a champion who is insanely resistant to missplays ... if i would have to compare zed to fizz i would say that fizz is safer by far
zed can do his ult which is telegraphed ... any tank can just time his cc to hit you after you reach the carry .... then they unload and you are denied capability to assasinate propertly untill you get another ult and its hard for you to even come close to fight
then there is fizz .... walking 1v5 its fine even if enemies burn 5 flashes and even more gapclosers not to mention cc ... having 200 hp and going into a teamfight .... its fine
whatever fizz player can fail ... the trollpole fixes rather efficiently
but what i hate the most is that fizz can feel totaly independent of his hp ... he doesn't care if he has full hp or 100 hp ... he can safely assassinate an enemy and get away with it
im just happy that i meet players who behave like you said ... they are full of themselves and missplay a lot ... thanks to that i have chances
i played some fizz just to see that i got as full of myself s they were after couple minutes... because there was just no punishing me for playing bad

Anidan3 votesKinda the same boat for me. Though, I also play Fizz, so I tend to know when to be more careful and when to be more aggressive. Every time I lane against a Fizz he has a really bad time, similar to when someone knows about Fizz and I'm playing against him, my laning phase will not be a good time. Ah, well. So it goes.

On his pole Fizz dodges basic attacks and projectiles. Everything that is AoE still hits him.
I mean, it doesn't really make sense when he's jumping on a stick and is suddenly invunerable to a FREAKING PILLAR OF FIRE.

His season 3/season 4 full ap burst in a blink of an eye and his new "ad/CDR" bruiser build is just a bad, except fizz is not squishy and is not easy to bring down.

Owlythe7 votesAs bad as it sounds... Fizz is probably the only champion that I'd dodge before laning against. Not play against in general, just if I know I'm going to be the one laning against him. My hate for him is probably more than it should be, but it's just there. If I can't ban him, I'll dodge before going into a game that I know will put me on auto-tilt the second I see him on the other side of the lane. Don't get me wrong. He's not the most overpowered champion in the game by any means -- He's just so frustrating to lane against and his ability to put me, and probably a LOT of people on tilt within' 5 minutes of a game is unmatched.
I think there's a word for that. Not overpowered, but, Toxic.

Ori, Teemo, Talon, Ahri, Diana are good picks.
Regardless, opening the combo with your ult is not recommendable. Everyone can dash out of it, not just Fizz.

Talon: Fizz just outtrade him i don't recommend him. And reveal his stealth.
Ahir: She can do pretty well vs Fizz. Mobile enough to survive his all-in, and can poke him down. Maybe the best meta pick vs Fizz
Diana: Same as Talon. If Fizz don't missplay or you don't outplay him he will win.

The fact that he's able to 100-0 you while taking no damage isn't fair. His troll-pole makes him not only invulnerable, but also deals damage when he lands.. Talk about an overloaded kit.
Amarulence3 votesI find it kinda' annoying when I miss my ability because he uses his E, but I don't find him a huge pain or frustrating to deal with, and from time to time I'll play a Champion who he directly counters.
I'm assuming you mean primarily when going against him mid lane, but when I'm in a different lane, I feel he's about the same, and when he's jungling, he seems to do about the same things as he would do in mid lane.
I'm Bronze, though, so take that into consideration XD

Not gonna lie, what bothers me most isn't how many ults he can make other people whiff, it's the fast that his own ult, even if he misses, sticks around and can still be picked up by a champion, and still hits untargetable champions once attached to them. What kind of double standard bullshit is that?
