Anyone else feel like Riot's unfavorable decisions lately are tied more to Tencent than them?

The full takeover happened in December, right before the start of the Dynamic Queue blow back and whatever the hell Season 6 meta changes have become. Now obviously correlation is not causation, but something definitely seems to have changed a bit in the tone they take with their game. Lately it sure has been getting easier and easier to blame and dislike Tencent.

Just want to let you know though, through all of our posts whether they be positive or negative, we wouldn't be here if we didn't care, Riot. I'll openly admit to disagreeing with a large chunk of your decisions, but I love you guys.

Riot signed the contracts agreeing to giving a large ownership of the company over, but holding 100% of game development and management to riot. Riot still has full design and game management responsibility. Tencent just made the deal so they could bring a massive player base to league, from china. More money for everyone.

No, because Tencent doesn't do a damn thing at Riot. The only people making decisions for the game is Riot

Yep, and on top of that, given that Dynamic Queue and meta-changes are worked on literally months ahead, if the acquisition by Tencent happened in December, we haven't seen anything they even could realistically influence.

Well im sure since Tencent owns 100% of League of legends/Riot what ever they say goes.

Odd, according to an Extra Credit's video, it was suggested that Tencent was leaving the folks at riot alone, because they were already doing well.

I'd imagine that Tencent is more interested in Money than actually making a good game. They probably couldn't offer any input to their proprietor companies if they didn't have they specialized knowledge to make a good game. That said, they would have the power to replace Riot with more talented employee's if they felt that Riot really did screw up.

They bought out the company because it was profitable. It's also likely that they did so for the League's IP, allowing them to produce merchandising for it, and make more money, without actually having to influence the game itself.
