Ryzes q should not do 1000+ damage
thats more that ultimates thats fucking bs

And in return, Ryze's ult has no damage, and no passive stats such as some others have, and has no effect against the enemy

they shoved an entire kits damage into damage and opened up an ulty slot
And Jhin shouldn't be able to get so much AD... and etc, but yeah, Riot design team has been going crazy.
Let's math
according to the wiki, Ryze q does 185 + 45%AP + 3% bonus Mana in damage
Spell fluxes damage multiplier on his Q caps a 100% at max rank.
So A Q with the Flux buff would deal 370 + 90%AP + 6% bonus mana.
Arch angels offers 1000 mana, and 80AP and the 3% mana to ap ratio. RoA offers 100 AP and 400 mana when fully stacked.
That would be 1400 mana, 3% of that would be 42 extra AP from the bonus mana (not including Ryzes base mana) giving us 222 AP
Which would bring the damage to, 370, + 200 + 84 = 654 calculated before defenses
if we Added a Morello's, we would have 100 extra AP and 400 extra mana. giving us 280 + 1800*.03 = 334AP
making it 370 + 300 + 108 = 778 damage, Again before resistances.
Now if you factored in his passive, it would only result in a 16% increase in his maximum mana.
Conclusion, Ryze basically can't achieve that level of damage without at least 3 items. And probably at least level twelve, since we were factoring max ranks in both his Q and E. And given that he relies on Flux to amp his Q damage means he's not doing that damage with a single spell.

First of all, Pic, or it didn't happen.
Secondly, Again, I was only speaking a limit of 3 item, on a Ryze with at least 12 levels.
Theirs a good chance he could have done 1200 if he topped it off with a few more items, an if you lacked a lick of MR.
He'a not lying. I have seen a Ryze Q deal 1000 damage or so. Not saying it's OP, he just isn't lying.
You're right but you need a ton of context for this to be relevant.
For instance Ryze needs to generate two runes before this can happen. So it's not like a late game Syndra ult. And the comparison being made is it's a non ultimate doing that much.
BTW, late game IF Ryze gets this combo off and unloads a 2 rune Q, he gets melted anyways because he has now been in the center of the fight for more than 3 seconds and is dead.
