Gangplank makes literally no sense to me LOL

I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bad player. I'm probably not even half decent. I'm trying to get better, but that's easier said than done. One champion I can't seem to grasp is . I don't understand how to kill anything with this champion. Farming is easy enough but I can hardly do that while being harassed by Quinn, Teemo, Graves, and whatever other top lane champion constantly giving me a headache. I don't understand how I'm supposed to kill with the barrels if they can easily just run away from the explosion range. Idk, I'm very much frustrated that I haven't made any headway with this champion. No matter what I do I'll be behind in something or need a gank to kill my lane opponent.

TLDR: I have no idea how to play this champion and any help would be appreciated. I'm literally being stomped by anything that moves and breathes.

You plop down one barrel, let its timer run to one, then plop down another next to it and maybe another after that and pop the first one. The others explode in a chain catching the opponent and chunking them for huge damage. You practice chaining them together so a level barrel can be chained quickly and popped and opponents can't escape your huge AoE damage.

You dont typically want to be fighting in lane, try to just focus on farming and make sure your barrels are besides you or in bush. With your q farm and ult you should be able to help snowball other lanes while quickly gaining gold. Once you've got your triforce and a couple items you really start to shine, if you're having trouble landing barrel combos wait for a teammates cc or engage and go for a combo once the fights begun. Its much harder for enemies to focus on barrels during a teamfight so you should have much less trouble landing them

With gangplank you typically want to farm using barrels and q(so you get the bonus gold) for late game. Late game gangplank is probably the scariest freaking thing in the world right now lol
