Isn't Division 2 generally thought of as the hardest division to pass?

Thought I read long ago many people struggle with being division 2 of a tier. This may be different for diamond but curious about other tiers. Now I am a low elo scrub so really the most experience I have with this is silver 2. But I know in years past and currently this year it has always taken me the longest to get out of silver 2 than other silver divisions. I think I have an idea why, just curious if this is a thing that is known or what other people notice or if it's just me.

I guess I was in gold 2 for a short period last season but then dropped back to gold 3 0 lp fairly quickly lol. So I don't really have much experience in gold 2 to try and draw any conclusions. And idk... bronze just blends together for me so never really noticed anything about bronze 2. So I guess just curious if other people struggle with silver 2 more than other silver divisions? Gold 2 more than other gold divisions? Plat 2 more than other plat divisions? etc.

Actually I guess thinking about it you could argue division 1 since promos into next tier are annoying. At least with gold there is promo helper, but I am sure plat & higher doing promos would be annoying as hell. I hear plat 5 & diamond 5 get a lot of grief as far as divisions go as well.

i personally never play ranked but all i know is bronze is the biggest joke in league. i recently decided to do my placements for the season because i was bored and i did decent 7/3 with the losses being the bot lane got fed and i couldn't do anything. and i got placed in bronze 5 which really doesn't matter to me since i only play normals but i have played 7 games since i got that and every single game was a bigger joke than the next the first game i got was against a heal ghost level 7 mastery illaoi that played so bad and i could include the rest but it would take too long for me to type everything seeing how basically everything anyone bronze player does is a joke

True yea I was looking at your stats that's f'd up your in bronze. Hell... for so many years I been trying to even get a smurf account into bronze 5 and wasn't able to. But since you were placed in bronze last season it basically instantly said "f u" and put you there anyway. That's what hate about this games placement system though it doesn't really take much into consideration.

Like this season really tilted me for a couple reasons. I know you drop ranks at the start of seasons, I am used to it so I just play placements quickly not really carrying too much. Well I did poor on my main account and dropped from gold 3 to bronze 1, which was farther than I expected. The thing that tilted me though was this. So I had another account that ended the season in silver 5. Since it had silver 4-5 mmr and I did placements at the start of the season I was like "f yea! I can finally land in like bronze 4-5". So I just played placements and I played some champs I don't normally play but tried hard because I didn't think it mattered. So I went 9-1 playing mostly just mid silver and bronze players..... and got placed bronze 1. So.. my main account dropped from Gold 3 to bronze 1 with 2-8 placements vs mid gold & plat 4-5 players. But then going 9-1 on an account with starting silver 4-5 mmr and playing maybe max of silver 3 players also = bronze 1. The shit is so inconsistent it's beyond retarded.

So now here I am slowly climbing through silver again in a season when I just wanted to play casually. But that's the ranked system we have and I ultimately knew what I was getting myself into.

If anyone tries to argue my placements were accurate since I got the same thing twice honestly f off. If it was accurate I would have started in or around the same population distribution percentage as I ended season 6, which was top 20% of players. All of season 6 I was at least ranked in top 25% of players... which is no where close to pro but it is also not top 60% of players, which was what bronze 1 was right at the start of season 7 (if my memory is correct). Plus I literally ranked 3 accounts to gold last season all with over 50% win rates, the best being gold 4 with gold 3 or higher mmr and a 57% win rate. Not trying to brag I know those aren't pro stats just saying that kind of shows I had more than a silver or bronze knowledge of the game. And since I did placements at the start of the season I still had that same knowledge.... not like now where I am coming back from a break so I am a little rusty.

the hardest divisions to pass are the ones where you start getting the tiltlord V players from the next rank up

D5.

P5 is the hardest, slightly harder than D5 in my experiences. This is because along with the tilted and trolling players, there are also a higher amount of boosted animals and players who don't know how to play well so you have to hard carry to win against mechanically good players. You don't have to hard carry every game in D5.

when have you been to d5?

For pretty much all tiers the middle divisions are where more skill progress is made because more concerted human effort is used when deciding to shoot to the next tier. The 5th division is notorious for a reason.

That is unless you barely qualified to break into that tier to begin with then IDK why you expect to go further (lol at people saying d5; it's basically high plat but less care)

Can confirm Plat 2 is aids. The last D5 I had on my team was the sole reason we lost the game.
