BOTRK needs buffs

10% lifesteal is nothing in the early-mid game 25 Attack damage is not enough Recurve bow +15 damage is removed on upgrade 10% item active doesn't do much at all.

We wonder why players are going for ghostblade over BOTRK

Why buy BOTRK when we have huge armor pen from better items to kill tanks with?

It's a core item for certain ADC's, and one of the reasons we see "caster" ADC's doing much better then regular ADC's. Vayne Caitlyn Tristana are weak because of this.

What a surprise that MF, Sivir, Jhin, Ashe are doing so good, because they don't "need" botrk.

Maybe because BOTRK is more of an onhit bruiser item than an ADC item?

To some degrees, yes and sadly for certain marksmen like Jhin, its not as viable but you have to remember he gets powerful scaling thru atk speed and crit resources (effectively 20% bonus AD per 50% crit, and about the same on leveling up alone too).

You have to also remember that 'originally' to what i recall is that the way marksmen counter out champions like tanks should be lifesteal. Which doesnt exactly work well when one of the only two options that stand out the most for marksmen is Blade of the ruin king and blood thirst, and the latter is pretty much just a straight up damage item which could screw up some champion builds like Ashe or Caitlyn who rely on stacking critical chance to up the damage bonus hugely on their passives.

Considering how i haven't seen much going on in changes to 'tank' items or similar shifts to hash out the tank 'meta' in a sense, i would not be amazed if we end up with something like a buff to BotRK or maybe get a few tank buster items some more love. I had a all for one match against a bunch of cho'gaths while we were Jhin.

We basically got the lead, mid game they cluster tank us to death, but after getting lord domink and a few damage spike items for jhin such as phantom dancer, infinity edge, etc. we manage to melt them thru coordinated W shots and Rs and win the match, but effectively they kept cheesing with the knock up plus Slow on Chogath, stack AP to melt hard with it, autos and Q silence and then finish it with execute true damage R. It was plain silly since Cho'gath isn't overpowered but his kit lets him thrive in that tank cheese with a kit that lets them maul sort of setup. Plus they were stacking thorn mail and randuins and we still won on top of them being 3k5k hp monsters with 100200 AP or more.

It would of probably been more silly if they were darius or illaois but to me, all for one is a good way to show the madness (even if its unbalance tilt due to same champions), that the meta can show itself to insane proportions. When a Cho'gath can be mobile, tankie and blastie at the same time, with its kit making it that much easier to pull such tactics (just like how Tank Yasuo is a thing at the moment).

The problem with Bork at the moment is that health stacking is more effective since Lord Dominik's Regard doesn't penetrate base armor and any little amount of armor alone makes its passive do only 2%-3% of current hp per auto. Since its only 6% current on hit damage it makes it highly underwhelming against any targets with 200+ armor.

This item is made to counter health stacking. Next patch we will see Kleds with 8k hp, so it will be popular again.

bork is not made for mad damage burst but to take down people with a lot of hp if you look at it passive you can see that

Don't know why they nerfed it to 6% in the first place when they did. Wish they'd bring it back up to 8%
