Does your performance affect the amount LP you get?

I had a recent win where I got 18 LP, clearly didn't do as well. But my last win I got 20, and carried that game. My MMR couldn't have changed positively because I had just came off a loss.

Your LP is mostly determined by your teams hidden elo compared to your opponents. In the game where you won more IP, your total team elo was less than your opponents team elo

The only factors are your mmr relative to your rank, and your mmr relative to the mmrs of those in the game.

There is a degree of randomness in the mmrs of those in your game (premades, queue times, etc.), so that can sometimes account for a point or two difference in LP gains/losses.
