Was in a situation the other day

I was on lee and safeguarded to my ally LeBlanc before she nuked the enemy to get an assist. Didn't want to auto to KS, which would've been enough to kill.

Backed off a bit and he flashed and she didn't get the kill. I blew my flash and tried to q but failed.

Thought to myself I should've just stolen the kill but if I did I may have had a raging mid cus all I did was auto.

Was in a very similarly opposite situation few games later.

My mid was going in to dive and I w'd on and kinda stole the kill, but mainly so rhey could leave turret range and not die, sure id get the kill and not them but better than enemy right? Then they raged saying they were okay with the 1 for 1 and why did I steal kill

Was like... I can't win no matter what I do ._.

What do?

i will add, the situation with the LB in my mind the LB had the kill damn near 100%, idr exactly but we were on baron side kinda above the brush opposite the blue pit, so a decent amount of distance away from tower.

There's no such thing as kill stealing, only kill securing. Unless you're Malphite and you ult a 12-hp flashless MissFortune surrounded by all four of your full health teammates. That might be a tad excessive.

Just don't do it when something like Jinx rocket is already chasing them and about to kill them.

Only do it when you're not sure they are going to get it.

I want to answer your question with a question.

Would you rather have your teammates complaining to you for stealing their kills while looking at a victory screen, or have them complaining that you were too heavy for them to carry because they had all of the kills and you didn't get any?

Don't go out of your way to get a the kill when your teammates clearly have it in the bag, but don't rely on them to get a kill when there is a chance that they wont and you have the opportunity to take it.

Just take the kill... unless you are using a long CD ultimate or flash to take it. (Although sometimes flash is nessairy)

If it is just an auto attack, I don't worry about it. if I am taking a kill as a support it is almost always something other than a damage ability.

If your team complains just say.. "oops, I was just trying to CC them"

"KS" ALWAYS League is filled with 10 year old kids who cry about anything and everything so what's the point in trying to get a 10 year old fed if they cry over the littlest things?
You can't rely on your team anyways and if you do all that will happen is you will LOSE plain and simple and you will ask "why" or "how" and the ageless comment will always be "Gotta Carry" YOU can't carry if your relying on them.

I'm all for giving kills to lanes but just ganking your lanes should be good enough for them especially in the laning phase just to take pressure off. If kills do happen any SMART or non-10 year old should be most appreciative that their lane opponent is dead and they can farm without aggro.

If there is any chance of the opponent escaping or killing an ally, just kill them quickly. That way, your team gets gold and map pressure.

If there is no chance of the enemy escaping or killing an ally, it can be beneficial to give the gold to your carries.

This is my general rule how I personally view things. During Laning phase - No, unless they're about to escape. There no need to be completely selfish. Unless you think you're good enough to solo carry the game. If not, share the gold (Always KS the support though, only thing they need is the assists). During Team fight stage - Take the kill and push for the objectives quickly. But don't do some random bs that tilt players like waiting the last second to join the fight to actually to try to last hit them trying to take the kill, when you could of joined in earlier. Because that's just tilts your teammates.

By all means, nothing wrong with taking the kills in the end. But a tilted team is never fun to play with. Unless you're actually trying to make them salt.

~If you're to worried about making randoms tilted. Then get a premade team together that doesn't complain with it and aim to win.

If you're playing a carry jungler I'd always take the kills - I can influence all lanes, drag/baron/rift herald, and invade, they can only influence their own lane.

Like I said, If you think you're good enough to solo carry, then go ahead. xD I don't mind people taking my kills if they can solo carry. It's freelo from there. If you do, just don't heavy tax the lane where he falls behind. I've having troubles with junglers over taxing when they took the kill. I would like to get my 1st and 2nd item finished faster than he can so I can steamroll and roam to push for objectives.

Most people only bitch about kill stealing when they're total dumpster scrubs and a kill opportunity only comes once a week so when they're denied of that they cry
