Anivia need some serious buffs and/or rework

She is the pure definition of high-risk, low-reward. I see no reason to pick Anivia over many of the other AP mages when all of the other ones is able to do what she can do but much better.

For one thing, her mana costs are ATROCIOUS. Worse than Orianna's. I've seen people commonly buy both the grail and the tear because her mana costs are just so bad.

Secondly, her stun skillshot is also bad. Too slow moving, and is only a 1 second stun. You can have 325 movement speed (the slowest in the game) without movement speed quints and still find dodging that skillshot a breeze.

Thirdly, her waveclear can easily be interrupted. And her ult is her ONLY waveclear.

Fourthly, she has NO mobility and has one of the LOWEST base health stats in the game. Her "escape" is to die then revive, which I would rather have an actual escape instead.

Her two assets - wind wall, and the passive, isn't very good against a highly competent team. Any champion with a dash can completely mitigate your wind wall, and plus most of the time it blocks only a portion of a corridor. So they can easily just move around the wall. On top of that, you don't get your "full" wall until level 18. As for the passive, it's on a VERY long cooldown, it's bad in a 1v1 situation (since they can easily destroy the egg), and once they trigger it, you're highly vulnerable since you're very squishy without any escapes.

You want to know what champion Anivia reminds me of that's 10x better than her? Ziggs. Why pick Anivia if you can pick Ziggs?

Ziggs have waveclear that can outmatch Anivia's waveclear. And he can do it 1400 units away.

Ziggs' minefield is a much safer version of Anivia's wall. It may not be able to stop any movement across, but it's dangerous enough to get any enemy to avoid the mines at all costs. But most importantly, it doesn't stop your ally's movements. And it lasts for double that of the ice wall.

Ziggs have better mana costs, better starting health, and an escape. He does not have Anivia's passive, but personally I would rather have the ability to escape a gank than to turn into an egg and lie still for a few seconds.

Anivia can carry games extremely hard still. She does not need buffs.

Anivia combines strong cc, strong zone control, and amazing burst/ratios with a revive passive, her high skillcap and mana costs keep her balanced. If she could spam her q/e in her current state she would be a ridiculous lane bully.

She doesn't need buffs, but imo she really needs a visual update. she looks really outdated
