Idk, it becomes a bit pointless in teamfights and when you play a top lane tank teamfights are your thing.

You dont need to be a tank to use it and you still get the damage buff even if allies are around

I thought top laners didn't like facing awful horrible ranged top laners that shove them in and shut them down early. Giving them access to an early buff is just asking for more.
