I hate it when no one buys control wards.

I hate it when I ping that I'm going to ward or back and my ADC decides to engage 1v2 and flames me when they die.

I always buy a control ward at game start or first back.

It's literally an obsession at this point.

I forgot once and generally wanted to just shutoff my computer because of it.

I don't buy it either, but to be honest I have better ways to spend the 75 gold since I would probably not have map awareness well enough for it to help. And since pinging 3 times MIA and 2 times RETREAT will still not prevent my bot to feed my midlaner two kills and then write "mid no ss", I am generally very sceptical if the ward would help others.

And when I do buy Control Ward, it's one of those games where you stomp and have good control over map so that one Control Ward literally stays at its place til the end of the game.

What often made me sad was seeing adc players who are like 15/0 and have vision score of 4 in 25-30 minute game.

I can imagine ADCs having low vision scores. After lane phase they normally are not in position to put down any meaningful vision, also blue trinkets are used more sparingly.

Hell, even in LCS a lot of times you don’t see ADCs buy control wards.

maybe but vision score 4 at min 30?? That's basically having both trinkets in inventory all game and not doing anything about it. Having less vision score than your teammates is maybe fine but not putting any wards whatsoever isn't, even in later game, where you can ward pit over the wall without much risk.

Why not? One or two-shottable visible shrooms for level 1 to level 6, like blue trinket/zombie wards. Then Lv 6 lets you upgrade trinket to invisible shrooms. CD would be like... 90 at level 1? And like normal at level 6?

Item CDR would apply on the shrooms, also would be a reason to take Ingenious Hunter. Also, since they'd be considered wards, people could proc zombie ward on them, making them a tad more balanced.

Could be like Ashe's E where its rechargeable and only gets a limited amount. Could also be like Ghost Poro and slow a enemy for a short duration, increasing with time for however long it was in the bush (See: Maokai)

Im down (at least they will have a real cooldown then) he'd also be forced to go E level 1 (or people will try it until they figure out its bad because then the shrooms will have to scale with base damage per level )and cant blind me out of a trade level 1

When that area your ward is at has very little activity going on around it, it's better to just drop your next control ward to set up vision in a more active area of the map, especially when setting up for picks or doing dragon/baron.

I don't like that if we're losing BAD people still expect me to have like 3 wards out at any given time as a support.

If the enemy team has an assassin / bruiser and we don't have vision: I'm waiting until they show themselves in lane before warding. It's too dangerous, and me checking would likely end up with me very quickly dying soon after.

I average about 45+ vision score at least as a support. As soon as I complete my support quest, I buy item 3364 . I try to remember to keep a item 2055 in my inventory, but truthfully I keep forgetting to buy them.

I had a 30 minute game with 100 vision score as support. Second closest person on my team was jungle with 25. I cry every time in low-average elo.

You really should buy two anytime you have extra gold, I know i sometimes make the mistake of not placing new control wards if my last hasn't been killed.

I unless something unexpected happens usually when i cant get in the enemy jungle without dieing or seeing the enemy lanes follow me into the jungle and i immediately have to turn around i usually only control ward 4 bushes in the game. the bush opposite red buff both sides at the tip so that it can see red (2) the bush behind baron pit the bush on the opposite side of the wall of red side middle outer tower. these brushes give me important sightlines people rarely walk in the bush even when they pass those areas and when they do they tend to pass it without clearing it 80% of the time (the 2 red side brushes are still in im checking shop while walking to a relevant position area as suspect basically a really safe area where people dont expect any supprises so they dont look for them) exceptions are like i said when i keep getting jumped in the jungle by more than one person or when i notice im about to. there is also playing versus teemo in lane and when shaco repeat ganks top.

It's mostly based on how long you forget to switch out the warding totem as a support. Way easier to place wards than clear them.

Eh, personally I stopped trying to do the whole "warding and clearing" thing, ever since they diffused that from the support's job to the whole team's job. As a support main at that time, it feels like shit to basically be reliant on your team to do what feels like should be within your capacity to accomplish by yourself.

So fuck it, I can't be bothered anymore. If riot doesn't want me to be able to be good at it, then I'm not going to bother doing it all together.

I understand this feeling, 100%. everytime I leave base without one, I feel naked. When this happens, it's like something goes off in my head saying, "No!. Turn back around and buy a control ward, you imbecile."

I find that vision score isn't that great of an indicator for those sorts of things sometimes. It takes wards destroyed in to much more account than vision provided, the latter of which I think is far more important.

This isnt true.

You get 1 point for every minute of vision, boosted or lowered based on the wards position.

Destroying a ward gives you the wards remaining duration in points, and you get a point for ever minute your wards are standing.

Placing or destroying wards at objectives give you slightly more points.

Come play thresh from mid master to low elo and you'll know the real struggle. Nobody dodges anything ever, and if they do its late and impossible to predict and its just terrible.

As a main sup i do play jgl recently because of the stupid bot changes and adc nerf. And I buy so much control wards just to make sure its not warded xD
