@Riot Hi, Master tier top laner here, these phage/cleaver/triforce changes need to stop now

I wasn't aware these items were changed, just found out thanks to Hash, and I'm hoping I can get your attention by waving my badge around this time

If you'd like to stop by here, you can read my opinion on grevious wounds (which everyone ignored, not bitter) but that isn't the point of this thread

S5 was an insanely good season for fighters thanks to the juggernaut update, giving them some real items to choose from, rather than just slapping tank items on and trying to decide if Darius really needs that item 3078. The changes to item 3071 and item 3078 are both aimed at your AD castery carries, and I understand that, but instead of pulling power away from fighter items (PLEASE I JUST STARTED HAVING FUN), you should focus on adding more cool effects for ADCs to pick from. Your new items are interesting so far, and I don't see why you can't make some for AD casters rather than taking what we've got away

I've been maining Vlad for most of S5, and was maining Yasuo for S4 with how astoundingly bad fighters have been for most of that time, when all I want to do is play Darius. The game already has so few items to choose from, it can't hurt to add some more.

(Also there was something about Hydra doing true damage, pls link cuz I havent seen it)

Addendum: I totally forgot item 3044 in my rant, but part of the reason item 3211 was bad for a while was the lack of slot efficiency. Phage is already in a perfect spot for components and when you can buy it for the power spike, it doesn't need to be brought in earlier at the cost of said power spike.

I'm not really sure what Tri changes you have a problem with. They're reducing the AD slightly and switching the AP for CDR, right?

Also, looking at some of the new items, I don't think that the bruisers WON'T benefit. They've got some AD spellvampy items that look like they'll be sweet for more damage oriented bruiser builds.

They're also netfing the MS/AS for more crit and mana

Sounds like they're trying to make it a more ADC based item and less bruiser. Hm.

And that's the problem :9

Everything of this. Riot doesnt need to sacrifice Bruiser itemization to give ADC casters ''new'' items. Making actual new items for them should be better in every case.

So, basically you are maining two manaless champs who do devastating damage in two seasons. Now, you might actually have to think twice because perhaps one of those unfortunate mana using champions could, oh I don't know, damage your lifesteal/health regeneration rate a little bit? I'm sorry but I see no reason not to implement grievous wounds again. When Garen, a "fighter" by Riot's own system, can regenerate more health than anybody listed as a tank you need all the grievous you can get. Also, I just have to say... what do you have to complain about? Vlad's an excellent champion, but Yasuo is one of the most OP champions in the game and will be doubly so when those of us who have to actually use resources for our abilities will have the early game gutted beyond belief against a champion with 15 seconds of 50% bonus armor pen on use of his ultimate, doubled critical chance strikes on every basic attack (with a lousy 10% crit reduction as if that makes a difference if you crit every hit) a shield, a projectile blocker, and a 0.5 CD cast time on a dash through minions and champions.

I'm particularly disturbed a Master tier player can wave a badge around and get any changes they want. I suppose it is true, if you aren't pro or close to it Riot doesn't care about what you have to say. This isn't the game I remember from Season 3, and frankly maybe it is time to find a new one if this is the way of the future.

Jesus christ LOL

Boss, I know G&B absolutely loathes Yasuo, but he has nothing to do with this thread. I just mentioned I was playing them instead because fighters have been trash for so long. If you want to talk about grevious wounds, talk about it in my grevious wounds thread. Though I've gotta wonder, how does GW help you against Garen? He only gets his regen out of combat, so by the time his regen starts the debuff is gone.

The JigSAW1 votes

Maybe the reason G&B loathes him is because of the imbalance. A few champions counter him, but otherwise they are sitting ducks like the Bilgewater citizens in the latest Harrowing chapter being chased by Hec and Thresh. The changes being pitched means every mana using champion will have a much worse early game, which means the already powerful champions will have an even better fight on their hands. It goes from "difficult" to "hardcore difficulty" setting, every game.

You're certainly entitled to the view, though, about GW but please try and understand that against some of these ridiculous reworks, the only chance we have is to cut down their healing while in combat. Garen's regeneration out of combat is much better, but remember like any champion he regenerates health DURING combat if he uses such items as spectre's cowl > spirit visage, or god forbid a lifesteal weapon as some Garen's do. You want to know the height of ridiculousness? I can tank 20 turret shots on Garen with one single health regen item. Is it wrong? Absolutely. The only way to cut him down to size usually, on a melee champ, is to stick him with bleed out/GW as Darius can do so he cannot get his passive back. Even then, he's tough to kill.

You're a higher ELO than I will ever be but... I can't see how removing mana potions and stealth wards is a good thing. Your issue with the GW and such would be warranted -IF- the juggernauts and ADC's aren't being buffed or have been buffed to the moon and back. At this point, champions who are not juggernauts or ADC's need any little thing they can get to fight back. The problem is that right now so many champions are out of control that we need AD GW items, UNLESS some of this is toned down significantly. I know the first comment will be "get good" or "you are getting outplayed" but I'm going by a much better indicator of champion strength: If somebody bad at League can do VERY WELL with that champion off the bat, and if you can come back from a deficit like 0-3 or 0-4 and end 15-3 or 20-4 when you normally cannot, that champion needs to be nerfed.

Then again, ELO was designed for a 1vs1 chess match and not a multi-variable game like League of Legends. But, I saw a S2 Yasuo obliterate a D4 Nautilus repeatedly and the Yasuo was not a good player in a friendly game a few weeks ago. This takes a bad situation, and makes it much worse - League tends to make its own problems with the patches, then fix them (too much or too little) and henceforth tweak those issues every other patch thereafter, which explains my lack of faith the mastery trees will significantly improve the removal of pots.
