Hi, regarding one of my favourite champions fiddlesticks.

Some may call me a believer but I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I personally prefer playing fiddlesticks in the JG role, although I do sometimes play him in the support role. Any way after the preseason changes fiddle sticks jungling became GOD tier awful. https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/stats/fiddlesticks/platinum

42% winrate awful.

I think one of these main reasons is because he doesn't really have a keystone that fits him. Personally arcane comet, and summon aery feel terrible on him and phase rush is kind of ok I guess.

One of the problems I feel fid has is that his drain is kind of awful in todays "everything dies in .1 second" meta you get low hp from fighting someone, you fear them, you heal back to full and then they just one shot you again. It feels awful.

sad to think that tank fiddle does better than ap fiddle at this point, a Fear bot with a slowing ulti with rilai is not what was intended for him, no keystone really suit him and his high health clears are not that great with it takes so long to do so

damage reduction while draining will turn him into a tank, and any kind of buff to his E will make him a laner i think?

I prefer Toplesticks so i can just harass with my E and if they all in me I can just fear and drain them. Though he doesn't do MASSIVE amounts of damage which we all would like him to do , his CC is enough to make him viable top.

Sounds like it's time to bring him up to date in the new overloaded champion style.

Step one: make his drain also steal armor and magic resist from his target! Step two: give him back the real old school crow bounce! I'm talking it can bounce of himself again and he gets mana back each time. Step three: no more stand still and channel ult! Self cc just Doesn't work in this game now. So instead have it start a delayed activation that launches him in the direction he is facing after activation so he can more reliably stay in optimal ult range.

I'm also half asleep right now but some of this may not be totally busted :D

Yeah JG fiddle is pretty shit rn, which does suck. But you know what Fiddlesticks is great for right now? Being a lane bully midlane. Take arcane comet and start E (max E first), use E plus AA on waves you can generally get most of the CS (drain costs a lot of mana so use sparingly to sustain hp, cannon waves E>W the cannon works well), and E on the waves while staying a safe distance will either zone the enemy laner away from their cs or give you free poke (plus silence and comet!). Save fear for enemy jg ganks and just walk back to turret.

item 1056 + the good base damage and reasonable mana cost on E make clearing waves and staying reasonably good on mana nice n easy. I generally rush item 3027 getting item 1026 item 2031 on my first back, b/c w/ item 1056 item 1026 your poke is even stronger and doran's mana regen on kill keeps you looking good on mana.

Sure fiddles may not scale as well as some midlaners but if youre 50+ cs ahead of the enemy mid, and keeping them from roaming by pushing w/ your E and shadowing them when they try to roam having a slightly weaker midgame doesn't matter.

Im also a fiddle main. He needs some help this season.

I fear we will sit at the back of the line though lintel he gets his rework .

Rip Fiddlemain. :(

Either he needs to take reduced damage while draining or deal more damage when doing so. Because really his drain seems like does a lot of damage but compred to an ADC or a burst mage it's really not that much.

That would be neat, because he is honestly garbage right now.

Yeah. The issue right now is the drain would have been perhaps strong in season 1 and 2, but it hasn't kept up with damage creep, but on the drain tanking, and on the damage side.

if they don't want to change the damage it needs to be changed to a tether you can run with like karma's.

I love wasting 120 mana to do on tick of 60 damage.... those BIG numbers. I don't feel the "reward" for all the down sides of how easily you can avoid most of the damage. But the scaling and mana seem to be budgeted for max damage from 5 secs of drain.

Yeah the budget for the ability almost feels as if it got a third to half his power budget.

I've tried all the keystones and honestly the only one I like is electrocute.

They changed Phase Rush to grant Ranged champions +75% Slow Resistance as well in Patch 7.24, do you think it could be used on Fiddlesticks? His fear counts as an ability for it after all. Fear + Bird + Auto could allow you to quickly position yourself for a good Drain.

What about giving him an actually scary passive?

Passive: Dread If an enemy champion enters an unwarded bush with Fiddlesticks in it, then Fiddle's skills deal true damage to that champion (and that champion only).

Let's face it, Fiddle is not scary at all. When you face a Fiddle you are not scared, you think "oh sweet, i can farm both sides of the jungle!". When you find Fiddle in his jungle you don't think "oh crap", you think "oh sweet, a free kill!"

That's not ok.

He's supposed to be terrifying, but instead he's actually less scary than pretty much any other mage (let's not mention assassins, it's sad enough that he's less scary than the human kid Annie).

With this change, walking the jungle without vision of Fiddle would be an actual nightmare...
