Question About AFK Surrender String
So your team will gain a loss prevented because of an AFK except the afk. But if it's ranked how much LP would the enemy team gain, or gain none at all?

If it's actually a remake option as it implies, I think it'll just look for an alternative player for the same game and teams and perhaps just re-enter champ select?
I'm sure we'll get more info soon.
EDIT: Just saw Frost's post and he is right, if its a remake situation, then none of what I say below matters. However, now that I think about it, remaking isn't really the best option in the world because it doesn't address most of the bigger afk problems.
I have argued this point with multiple times over the course of the afk/disconnect debate.
Let's look at the problem that is trying to be solved. When an afk occurs on a team, that team knows they are going to lose their game, lose LP, and essential waste at least 20 minutes of their time (at a minimum). This is immensely frustrating and completely unfair because you had no control over your teammate leaving the game. This is the problem that Riot needs to fix.
With that in mind, there is literally no reason to punish the team without the afk. They did absolutely nothing wrong, and they have invested time in to this game of league. Because of this time investment, and the fact that this team had nothing to do with the other team's afk, I see no reason why Riot should enforce a system where 10 people have their time wasted as opposed to 4. It would be negative and completely unnecessary.
Under a new system, the losing team would still have their time completely wasted but have the consolation prize of no lp loss, the winning team is also having their time wasted and have a consolation prize of getting their lp. I really see no reason to mess with that. The major negative effect on the losing team is gone, and no new, negative effects are affecting anyone else.
Does the team without the afk get an "undeserved win"? Yes. Well maybe. If a team's afk is a rage quit then perhaps the enemy team played really well and deserves the win. But that is too game specific and is really almost a semantics issue.
The bottom line afk's don't occur incredibly often, and it isn't really possible to climb the ladder based solely off the enemy team afking. After a large enough number of games, you will still get closer to your actual skill level. So I still see no reason to punish the winning team (the team without the afk) for something they had no control over.
