Because all of those arent for a serious mode like ranked.
Your expecting random people to not only go for something crazy like duo top.
But to then know how to stratigize around it and actually have a chance of winning.
If you want to play weird stuff get 5 of your freinds and make a team.

Having no support and duo jungle makes the adc useless because the ADC is zoned out of so many cs and the jungler can camp bot and they can dive level 6+. If they wanted to try to win they would play the roles they are supposed to so they can climb and win. Show me the win rate of this "singed jungle" let me see there match history. All the red is prob the main reason they got banned

Indeed. You dont HAVE to have a support; theyre vestigial. Optional. Its certainly a very strong option, but its not the ONLY option and people who dont want to play it shouldnt be banned because riot wants to enforce their favorite meta. If someone communicates clearly that they are not support despite being placed as a support, then theres no egg on their face. because riot decided that theres only 5 positions.

They released Ivern pretty recently for the support jungle role lol
Chamuel851 votesI think Ivern is a supporting jungler. I think that he's designed to be the solo jungler in the jungle though. His playstyle as a jungler is more of a team support role. Like Nunu. It's a good point though. I wonder how Ivern would work with duo jungle.

He works fairly well, actually. But not as the duo part of the double jungle because you need to clear the camps properly in the enemy jungle; someone like singed or shyvana with actual good clear times is better for double jungle.
Paroe1 votesUh, no. Roaming and counterjungling is the key to winning if you pull it off well enough. Those strats are far from off-meta, because they are done so frequently. Matter of fact, they are very nearly the opposite of off-meta, because metas are defined as acceptable paterns over a course of a set time period.
Double jungle is where you have two dedicated junglers.
Duo top is where you have two dedicated top laners.
Roaming is where you have one dedicated camper (usually someone with strong CC who is effective with low gold and levels)
Dedicated counterjungle is where you have two dedicated junglers, with one stealing enemy camps and harassing the enemy jungler.
They are very different from what happens in a standard game. the role and the act arent the same.

Uhh yeah sorry lol. Its hard for a lot of people to understand that the role and the act are completely different things usually. they were all in the meta at one point - effective strategies all during their time - but they fell out of favor because the "get the marksman" fed comp was just so powerful.

Except this discussion has been spurred by a singed playing duo jungle in soloqueue being banned because the game forces you into one of 5 slots, of which only support is truly optional.

... lol We know for certain that he was double jungling, not stealing jungle; he didnt WANT to jungle. Specifically, if he was constantly 'stealing jungle' how do you explain a 50% winrate in platinum with a double jungle singed?

2,000,000 mastery singed player was perma banned for playing duo-jungle, with the reason cited by riot being "he was placed as support but didnt support". Guy was banned, essentially, for not playing the meta.
