Hey, fellow Summoners. Just take a step back, take a deep breath, and remember...it'll be ok.
I get it. It's been a wild week, right? A new rework dropped and boy is it insane. Healthy champions were buffed while strong champions are still strong and weak champions are still weak. Items were adjusted, champions were changed, the meta's taken a hit and will again in the near future. We were given a chance to show that we can change and that chance was taken before some of us even knew about it. Punishment occurs and punishment doesn't occur. It's summertime, and that means more pool parties. Quests need to be completed. Ranks need to be reached. Wins are somehow losses and losses miraculously become wins. Tryndamere's a problem. Diana's busted. Zoe's a bitch and Yasuo's a ho.
We've all got concerns that we each feel to be more important than others, but maybe we should just let those concerns go for just a moment; just take some time to witness our own thoughts and feels and evaluate whether or not we're going about it the right way. Let's not let our gripes, our issues, our problems and solutions, our concerns and conflicts, our criticisms and critiques, stand in the way of us helping to improve the game. That's what we all want, right? At the core of each and every idea is the desire and will to make this a better experience, a better game. If we want to make this a better game, shouldn't we first make a better community?
I don't know about any of you, but I am not a good person; I'm an egotistical perfectionist with high expectations of not only my peers but myself as well. I aggressively hound those who make mistakes, despite my own. You don't deserve to play if you're not playing to your fullest skillset, and if you are and still not achieving anything then you shouldn't be playing at all. Stop wasting my time if you're not going to listen and learn. I don't belong here with you fools.
That's the past me speaking, and you can tell that I really wasn't a good person however long ago it was that I recieved a ban. Was I right? Was I wrong? That doesn't matter, because no matter the answer I was attacking my fellow players. I was attacking all of you. That's never right. Unless it's you, Zoe. Fuck you.
Anyway, it just goes to show that we can all watch ourselves and criticize ourselves and change ourselves, so long as we first say that it has to be done. The first step in fixing your flaws is acknowledging them, which is something we can do for ourselves just by thinking about our last interaction. Always seek the answer to what you did wrong and how you could've done better. That goes not just for toxicity, but for gameplay, for cooking, for putting on clothes, anything. Maybe you put your shirt on backwards, right?
I believe in all of you more than I believe in myself. I know that if we work together, we can create a better community not just for ourselves but for the health of this game and future and returning players. We don't have to always yell. We don't have to always argue. We don't have to always complain. Evaluate your concerns. Evaluate your mistakes. Evaluate what you're trying to say and how you want to say it. Help eachother understand the issue while always trying to understand that it may not be an issue at all; it might just be you. It might just be me. Then, and only then, will we become a community that Riot can look at and think "Woah, these guys know what they're talking about. How did we miss this flaw in Zoe's design?" and "They're right. Let's just delete Zoe. Nobody likes little magical girls anyway."
On an unrelated note, I have a question for you all. Sona is my favorite champion in this game and it sucks that DJ Sona is under ownership of my banned account. Who's your favorite champion?
