@Riot why is Darius not being discussed?

Why is there no mention of Darius since summer where Morello said to play other champs if we don't like being kited as Darius and that he is receiving qol buffs soon?

What's going on?

If Morello really said that, shame on him. You don't adopt an attitude of "Well if it's underpowered, play something that isn't" ESPECIALLY when you're the fucking lead designer............Anyway, it was stated a long time ago that Darius was getting some kind of rework and if I remember correctly, Scruffy got to test play it and said he enjoyed jungling it

Riot only cares about ranged ADCs. If you play a fighter or tank or pretty much anything else you are a support. Since Darius is supposed to be this strong dude that pretends to be able to kill people they don't know how to balance him. Welcome to league. You want a darius champ play draven.

It is frustrating and sad to see older champions left in the dust because of power creep and such. It happens in almost any game that lasts long enough. EVENTUALLY they will probably get around to reworking them, though when that will happen is anyones guess. I feel the problem is people want quick solutions and it isn't an easy answer of just tweaking numbers, which if it was I'm sure they would have done it already. They put out the work that they like and they are happy with it. I'd much rather them take their time and try to make something that they themselves are satisfied with, then put out something rushed that ends up game breaking or so bad that it isn't even worth playing. The problem I feel is that they are trying to make specific champions "unique" or to fill a "niche" and creating an idea and implementing it is a lot harder then people think.

I couldn't help myself from jumping in here. Darius was when my soft addiction to LoL turned into a hardcore life ruining problem. I really enjoyed the unique game play of being a tank that could really bring the pain. Probably pissed a bunch of people off, well I know I did (back when he was supposedly OP). Then his ult got nerfed which was bad, what was worse were the silent nerfs to his hook. I used to play him heavily in Season 3 but now he is trash, especially in the new meta. I'll even go out on a limb and say that it seems like League is more about mobility and kiting gameplay than anything else right now and rewards conservative players more than aggressive ones.
