Suggestion: how to push lux out of support role

Give her passive a tiny AoE on her passive (about size of Zoe Q's AoE) so that she can waveclear better. It wont make her capable of viktor level of waveclear, but it would help her waveclear go on par with other mages such as veigar, zoe, cassiopeia, and ziggs on waveclear. Bonus points if her passive induces crit for the crit animation.

And compensation-nerf for that buff by nerfing E base damage. If lux can have a source of waveclear aside from E, then her E base damage wouldn't have to be as powerful. With reduced base damage on E, she would be less attractive for support role since her support laning power comes mostly from E poke damage.

EDIT: i thought that even just a while ago most people were opposed to lux being viable at support role. It appears im wrong about that

Why do we want to push Lux out of support?

She is a pretty mediocre support currently, the goal with making her ult CDR work on assists is to improve that.

They're not trying to make her a solo laner, they're making her flexibility between both roles better.

They shouldn't, Lux is a well designed champion who can fit into many roles and builds!

For 8 years she's managed to be a relivant champion (at least in pubs), who is not considered unfair by most...

And that's without any major changes to her kit! Everything has changed around Lux yet Lux still can fulfill what are always has. She is a fantastic design and one of the most perfect in league of legends.

Hold up, who's ever said anything about her getting pushed out of support? She's pretty good there. Not too hard to play against but feels fairly satisfying to play as.
