Surrendering in general is an issue tbh.
Neither HotS nor DotA have surrenders.
Not even other popular team oriented games.
Also, Boards complaining is tradition. It's not really indicative of anything at all
HotS games are short as fuck by intention, they don't need surrender.
DotA games have MUCH more chance to comeback than LoL does right now. (like just to crack into the enemy high ground you generally want a 10-15k gold lead at a professional level. So that is A LOT of wiggle room to come back).
In LoL, when one team gets the lead, they will almost always keep it.
Tbh HOTS although shorter in its nature, is alot more snowbally than LoL. Just saying.
No, it really isnt.
I have come back from more inhibs down (well HotS equiv of inhibs) in a few hundred hours of HotS than I have in 7 years of League.
Because of the lack of items, snowball is incredibly easy to stop. Give up an objective, soak xp to get back to equal level, then take a fight on your terms and suddenly you are at the advantage.
Nah. the game doesn't have serious issues. The quitters playing it ONLY to win, do. Bad sportsmanship.
agree, on ARAM it's even worse, ARAM has always been snowbally I know but now I have games, OFTEN, where at the 7 minute mark the inhibitor is already down like come on, this is just stupid
ARAM is a Ebb and Flow game. You just have to pull back when appropriate, and push when appropriate.
The only thing that makes ARAM worse is that ADC is what really wins the game now.

Not joking or lying at all, I had a 3 minute 5v5 ARAM game yesterday. Dumbest thing I've ever seen.
Anytime I see an open mid now In high elo it's usually around 5 mins
lulxd
This preseason literally made comebacks next to impossible, so they might as well add a surrender@10. No point further delaying the inevitable.
Couldn't agree more. It was already arguable to have this option toward the end of the season. Now games are decided by the 5 minute mark and nexuses are falling before the option to surrender even comes up.
the new runes made the game ridiculously snowbally, if u had a 50% chance of coming back in the old system, it is 10% now. the game is falling apart, riot just doesn't know it yet :)
Just had 2 games in a row where we FF'd at 15 due to the snowbally nature of the game. It's impossible to come back after 1-2 kills, just runes + damage + lack of resistances make it really hard to eat up the damage if an enemy gets even 1 item in front of you, let alone 2.
Honestly I don’t even see the need for unanimous either, screw it if 1 person FF@10 they are so tilted it should just end the game.
This I agree with in some part. In a lot of legitimate need to ff scenarios, there is always that one person who refuses. Then the game drags out another 10-20 minutes because one person can't let their ego down. It's infuriating when you can clearly see your loss is sealed.

Then afk, but smartly. When I get those 2 people that hold you hostage in a lost game, I just afk farm jungle or lane and let the enemy do 4v5s or less if more people do it. Can't be reported since you ARE ALLOWED to do that. And good luck if those 2 people are the ones trying to defend.
There is no rule against not working with your team. You ARE ALLOWED to never be with them and never help them. As long as you aren't inting or being an ass, you are in the clear regardless of what people threaten.
I am sure most people here know the only real way to get banned in League is if you talk. As long as you don't say anything negative in chat, or hell just don't even use chat at all and be safe than sorry, you basically are 100% banfree.
Yeah when
is 8/0 and
is 6/0 by 10 minutes the game is pretty much over.
stop complaining every preseason is like this
complaining is the best way to emphasize to riot what we want as players tho
Making suggestions on how to fix the problem or identify the problem is the best way to emphasize to riot what we want as players.

Identify the problem, yes. Suggestions, not as much. Often specific suggestions have negative side effects you might not have thought about; if you can communicate the problem well, designers can keep trying different solutions until they find one that doesn't have negative side effects.
I'm a chronic nay sayer to FFs when they appear to come from some kid who got his ass handed to him because he realized his Call of Duty sense of superiority didn't translate well into the game, and as a result, I'd rather see the game farther to establish a more valid need to FF or push to win.
However, what with this recent development, there are significant spikes in early game massacres and tower sieges that spell defeat legitimately long before the enemy reaches your front door, and as a result, I do think there needs to be a surrender option long before the 20 minute mark.
Champions are the moment are so snowbally, they can almost skip laning phase in entirety and drive a siege all the way down your mid or bot in the first 6-7 minutes flat, and can starve you of your own minions so badly you have zero chance of building items to "eventually" compete. It's over in many cases, as one or two people can only carry a team so hard in the face of the odds.
By the time the 20 minute ff appears, in many cases the game has BEEN over. No questions asked, no room for argument, no room even for a humorous "what if". It's been over. Period.
What about one minute
What about champ select
What about champ select
That's called dodging
If you fall behind even a little the game is pretty much over. I'm currently awaiting nervously see if I'm going to get a 2 week sus for a 0/10 TF game where my lane opponent picked up 2 kills at 5 minutes then just became impossible to fight, and I was useless all game because, as other people have pointed out, catching back up after falling behind is now almost impossible. Seriously, either tone back the snowball effect and the fact your enemy laner can get 2 levels ahead of you if you miss a single wave cause you get ganked then you're entirely screwed, or legit add a 10 min ff so we can just get the stomp over with. This is the worst gameplay update for this game I've ever seen and it hurts to play.
Hey. We've all been there - your laner gets a few kills, and ur in a bad position. You wanna know what to do? You have two options: 1: feed ur butt off since he is too strong and you keep going for it (kamikaze style) 2: realize after your first death that this might be a rough lane, and play ur cards close to your chest until laning phase ends. Also, as long as you keep ur farming game up, he will only ever be about 20-25 farm ahead (16ish for the kill, 5-10 for getting back to lane).
And if you're having real issues, maybe pick up some champs with high scaling (
), high sustain (
), or both (
), so you can chill out in lane but still be a presence late game.
Or realize that they'll just freeze the wave far enough out that you either get 0 farm or walk up to CS and get killed.
Now you're down huge amounts of CS and are useless.
TBH i want dawngate's deficit surrender
even better...first minion kill wins, then the BE system would make more sense aswell
Is there any way to report for negative attitude on the forums?
yes there is, but just make sure what you say fits the context in the section you are in: [Gameplay]; ur question most likely belongs in the [boards feedback] section rather than in a gameplay-related thread.

NFL players don't quit a game because they are 38/0. They finish out until the last minute.
They also get paid too. Some of them get paid more than many people will ever have. (>_>)
For us mere mortals, it's simply a waste of time to prolong an effectively unwinnable game.

Have you ever seen a Jr varsity team or a Highschool team forfeit at half time? If you're mere mortals, Highschoolers must be demigods.
No game is unwinnable. I've personally turned arounf 4/30 games and won 43/36. All it takes is one person not feeding, a good heal composition, Objective focus, and the right pressure wedges.
Even if majorly behind on kills, a Tryn or nasus can still bring a game back as can a GP, because they excel at the late game tower pushing and solo 1 shotting. A good Sona or Nami can make her team virtually unkillable late game even vs a fed team, as well as enabling clean pushes and overcapping their team's move speeds.
The only unwinnable game is one where players didn't plan for a poor early game, have no utility on their team, suck as damage dealers, and give up. Every other game is winnable.

No. Because the coaches are paid to play the full games. The schools want full games to prolong revenue generation.
Unless they unionize and strike, the kids have no say. Everyone else is disincentivized to end a game early.

There's a difference between "unwinnable" and "effectively unwinnable". Yes, you can turn potentially around a 100 000 000 gold deficit. But that would require not only a throw by the enemy team, but significantly greater time and energy investment than would be required to just play another game. Unless you are a streamer [debatable] or in promos, there is no benefit in dragging those games out.
You also have to take into account, this is mostly about yolo queue. Actual teamwork is often less important than carrying the the 4 feeders on your team [/hyperbole]. (>_>)
