Removing the Jungle completely
I was reading Riots Context for the recent jungle item adjustments at http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/hqw6bEoR-context-for-the-recent-jungle-item-adjustments Please read most of it, because the idea would be simple to in act but cause so much Good chaos for player's to enjoy.
I'm always reading and hear stuff about 5v5 and rift. I mean what League player hasn't. I'm however a 3's player because of really two thing's. First is how Rift's map set up and the second is wards. If I have to pay for
you can go
yourself, I'll go play 3's instead. I can play
just as well in 3's if not better then I could in 5's. So what would it be like if they made Rift's jungle more like the Twisted Tree line's jungle.
For those that never played Twisted Tree there are two lanes and 3 people. The jungle contains 6 monster and a 1 boss like Baron. Each of the 3 type monster's provide no buff but does provide different amounts of gold and have there own difficulty. So team doesn't really require someone to Live in the jungle area. Might I add that unlike rift during almost all of last year there were only Maybe five or six Twisted Tree Line specific Nerf/buffs. Last one was they slightly increased Leona's R cool down. Only about 10 seconds. In 3's there is only one champ is almost unstoppable and only one.
In rift currently each team expects/needs one jungle player. Worst you can't "Not" have one for the same reason you need one. Riot cant ever make bot's jungle properly so this extremely limits the over all game in terms of champion selection and balance. Plus with the what I seen and heard about since the map changed the jungle sound's like nothing really happened besides it became harder for "Jungle champs" with each patch.
My idea is simple, instead of trying to balance the thing so other champs can win besides "he who can not see Nerfs
. Riot could alter the whole point of the jungle. Which could be done just by tweaking a few stats. By doing this removing the Jungle class/style completely. "Dont
yet you will like my full idea. " Most champs that jungle end up top lanner's too. **Now I will explain my full idea and how it could be fun for everyone but
**
Start by increase the stats of the buff monsters like Golems. Riot did it a dozen times near the end of last season so we know they can do it with little trouble. The monsters would be strong enough if a champ like
or
will have to be at least level 4 to kill them without dying. At the very least have to port back after. This would causing the jungle itself to be more risky early game. Thus removing the "Jungler aspect." Where right now they have to early gank or be able to clear 3 or more camp. Hardest of all is to get first blood. All in order to stay in lane with the other three lanes. With increasing the difficulty of the camps Riot would also increase the effect of the buffs. Causing teams to fight for the control of the buffs which in itself simple. Increase the monster difficulty + increase buff power = increasing the amount of that thing Riot always says they want. You know, Strategy and Action. Teams already cared about Baron last season. Now they care about baron and control of dragon. Image if a team would have to treat both golems as well as the other big camps like mini baron's.
So If you can image it, this idea could creative times where if the ADC is suddenly missing and the tank shown up in the bottom lane you have to ask now what/why. Creating the strategy and reaction's League is known for. Causing deeper level of planning which every Role could enjoy all because one ADC hasn't been seen for 20 seconds.
The enemy team has to think if the tank here what could be planning. The ADC may be going after a the ___Buff and do we have it warded. Should our team be trying to stop them. Instead of a Jungler trying to get and Sustain all of the buffs. Now maybe the enemy ADC is really trying to bait a someone to leave their lane. To either go check the monster location and ward it only the enemy assassin to get a chance to do it's job. Worst that same ADC is going for a different buff before heading to gank the top lane while the tank just hold's off the ADC/Support in the bottom lane. Ultimitly because that ADC is mia that team has to do something other then farm in their lane. Truly separating the bad from the good when really the ADC DC/afk and the tank is just buying time praying they will reconnect.
It would also help easing new players into the game. I know I said help new players I must sound like
for wanting to help a noob out. It would because games would/could run closer to AI battle's in the bronze/silver ranks. So you don't get, "Wait what's a jungler. Do you mean I have to run around the jungle and kill stuff. They didn't cover that in basic training." Along with Giving Riot a EASIER time balancing champs.
Decreasing the number of time we have them say "Ok apparently having just buff
last patch. We are nerfing
so you should see her going mid anymore so balance restored." another good example is lulu. To stop lulu mid Riot had to cripple support Lulu.
Best of all having the jungle act as I semi described it would form massive new amounts of meta's. instead of it is right now where it just 4v4 with 2 guys running around like chicken's with there head cut off. Noob/players teams would/could play like they did in AI matches: 2 top, 1 mid, 2 top. Which can be done already. Bottom been doing it for years. All players would have to learn is to share minion kill's. Where a pro team could try/win with 1 top, 3 mid, 1 bot. Teams could play where everyone switch's lanes rapidly, snatching buff's before ganking each other. Opening up all kind's of lane combos and champ opportunity's by eliminating the fake/unpredictable Jungler role in Rift.
As to how doing something like this would make things easier for Riot. A example is because now any champ could play any lane at any time. Resulting Riot wouldn't have to Nerf someone to the ground because some player said, "Ok I'm going to make Youtube video about how to play Some champ differently. Or Breaking the Meta" then everyone copies. Again Lulu is a good example.
I don't plan on dumping instead I will just post more thoughts about my idea and respond to comments.
