Idea for Support item change. Long post but it's worth reading

Support's have always been the first/second most money hungry role to play in the game. Trinkets have taken a little stress off but a support still has to keep the ADC safe/feed preventing a good source of income if the adc has not been getting kill's. Worst if they proceed to kill before a support has done anything which would give them a support kill. My own expertise in this came from attempting to never last hit when ever possible. Leaving me with almost no gold when backing and little clue on what to build next due to lack of coin. Resulting in me getting easier and easier to kill.

Riot to has been buffing/making items which could only help Supports out more. The big problem I see is supports themselves have to a lot of milestones to overcome before they can even start building any real items.

First in my idea is be to remove item 3098 item 3069 item 3092 item 3097 item 3401 item 3096 all from the item shop. The reason for this is because Each of those item's is 100% un-gold efficient. In my view the only good one Is relic shield because it provides some benefit on some champs. The others are Un gold efficient because with at no time doe they ever grant enough gold to even build the first starting time let alone the next to. Reading between the lines you might already see my idea.

The three starter items intrudes in season 4 item 3301 item 3302 item 3303 would remain and cost increased 50 gold. However each would be given a new passive called Rewards of effect. Rewards of effect would allow all three items to evolve over time. It would run along the same lines as item 3003 become item 3040, or item 3004 becoming item 3042. Each item would transform based on their origin effect so when a champ with item 3302 has given "300 gold" it would then transform into item 3097 and so on. Should a player decide to sell the time They would only receive the amount of the origin item.

This idea would allow different supports controlled/predicable power spikes while freeing up a great deal pressure without becoming scary OP. With the natural passives already built into the items it would be nearly impossible for the effects to be abused by any of the other lanes. Relic's would the only one Maybe possible to abuse if a ADC decided to take it alone with the support but they would be delaying their own first power spike not taking a AD item first.

just need more items, more cost-efficiency and enchant mechanics like jungler items also more sightstone diversity with different stats.

The items' themselves provide a great deal of balance along with increase/helping the number of viable champs. Right now meta dictates either Tank support who can survive the Insta kill meta. In LCS they like having supports that could roam. With these item changes you would still be able to run those comps while at the same time allowing the poke/tickle types. without effecting either their Solo lane power or allowing for another Ezreal item 3724 to happen.

Now how does the passives both increase the meta pool and provide increase planning. We will take Sona for example. (Seeing as she was the last T.T, band wagon.) Having only invest 365 gold into a single item she will be able to concentrate on supply vision or planning how she will build herself. Along with this the enemy will know what to expect from the Sona.

If she has bought a item 3302 Sona would be given a nice bit of extra tankyness and keeping her Extra close to her adc which works well his her Aura abilities. Meaning "ALOT" of extra Risk with a chance of high reward. Her opponents will know to keep Sona away from her adc when she comes to last hit. That or punish her or her adc maybe both.

If she has bought item 3301 She will be able to play a more passive game using the extra Small income to buy wards while taking the extra 4 gold from her own form to help her build the damage she needs to make her skills have SOME effect. The other team knows to she will have very little damage compared to if she bought a item 1056. So they could put more pressure on her and her ADC early/all game. Do to her Q wont be able to poke as hard and her W and E will have less effect over all.

If she has boughtitem 3303 Which would be the best "maybe." Getting the small ap would allow her to poke a bit Along with giving her incentive to try to poke someone down. Knowing she would have item 3092 some where down the line would allow her to build different kinds of items. Maybe giving up a extra damage item for a utitilty support item. Her enemies will have to to try to avoid her/fight her unless near almost dead minion. To attempt to cause her Q to Kill a minion. Stealing the gold from the ADC will causing the items own passive to shut down for 15 seconds delaying the transformation. At the same time perhaps result in her adc to get a item 1037 instead of a item 1038.

Yea that's the idea. Jungle is the second with the worst income but they have alot of potential when it comes to killing. Where supports are often raged at for killing cannon creeps let alone a champ.

But its also about the change would be hard to abuse in lane. Plus all three items could/would cause all support and sub support to play different.
