I think it is so we don't see the horrors of premades and boosted players in high elo. But idk since spectator mode is out.

You probably just haven't played very long or don't remember it but there used to be a thing last season or the season before that let you spectate a random high elo game. It was just a part of the client.

Actually it was just until the beginning of this season. They removed it for no apparent reason, and didn't explained why.

I enjoyed seeing that, its like a break on my client from the constant bullshit links RIOT wants me to click on. I strangly like having somewhere to put my mouse without being over a link, it's like the new client is always packed with stuff like ''OH LOOK OUR NEW SKINS, OH LOOK ALL CHAT!, OH LOOK SOMEONE PLAYED AD LEONA!'' like idgaf about those things, just put a bit of empty space ...

I actually enjoyed watching the games. When i needed a break from grinding solo i would switch through the 5 current games until i find one of my main champs and watch high elos how they play with them and which builds they are using. Pretty educational

I didn't use it very often, but the only times i did watch them, it was because i wanted to play a specific champion, and there was a high elo player playing him. So yeah, pretty educational when you see how higher elo players actually play their game.

I really liked the spectator window. I used to be able to spectator any random ranked game I saw in it. Don't tell me go to the league tab and watch one of there games, cause it's not the same. You have to hope these top players are playing to see a match with no idea until it loads up what there playing. In the spectator window, you could see the champions in the match, how long it has been going on for (15 minutes or so before it maybe replaced by a new ranked game) and the names of everyone in said match.

This was before Dynamic Queue ruined it. Before you would see around 4 Ranked matches and maybe an ARAM or a normal game in the spectator window. After DQ was implemeted, the window was full of ONLY ARAM and a few normal blind pick games. A little later the window was gone. [zombie-nunu-tears] Use to be the spot for me at the right times to see those die hard mains of champions you well never see in the LCS unless something breaks them to the point of being overpowered, which would get them ~~gutted~~ nerfed for it Warwick .

There's a delay of, like, 5 mins between real time and spectator time. Even Teemo's traps expire before you can ghost them. .-.

There use to be a slot in the client front page, with all the adds and posts about LCS. It was offering you the option of spectating random high elo games like Diamond and above. Its gone.

Indeed ... of all the Rito James™ fuck-uppery, this infuriates me the most. I liked spectating a game in the morning before work ("coffee time"), or when doing paperwork, or ... after a queue-dodge. But now? Huh. I guess Rito James™ wants me to pay less attention to their game. Fine then -- that means less forking over plastic cash for RP.

I'm not interested in links to the hideous-nerd-du-jour video, or watch-four-virgins-talk-about-LC$BIGPLAYS-and-marvel-at-their-stuttering-nasally-voices videos.

i really wish they bring it bk instead of this other useless stuff they keep shoving in our faces, they keep talking about learning the game then they remove something that was very educational for a lot of ppl not to mention it kept me on the client even if i wasnt playing. the least they can do is say why they removed it so we can a tleast have some closure lol.

am guessing because games are so stompy they don't want you to see the same thing happening in 19/20 games you spectate. one team has 2-3 kills the other 40.
