But item 3285 doesn't ? Why is that so ?

Electrocute is cancer, that's why.

Because ludens adds damage and an effect to a spell while the options you listed are all unique forms of damage.

was gonna say this, then saw your comment

It is an add up to a spell. It should be considered different from it.

So statick shiv, runnan, rapid fire canon, borks passive dmg, liandries, rylia, scorch, cheap shot, sheen proc, etc should all proc it.

Noice

Edit: would be so cool on GP, can proc Elec on one Q. I dig it.

actually shiv and RFC should proc it. since it is not related to any spell. bami's cinder though ? others tho, shouldn't

None of the items I listed are actives or unique sources of damage. They are modifiers.

Modifiers do not count, and that was done on purpose so champions with Dot dont get multiple procs on one hit.

the one that bothers me the most is bami's cinder. it sounds really bullshit that an item that is designed for tanks will proc an assassin mastery, while an ap item won't. plus, according to your differenciation, it should count as a "modifier" - it gives your champion constant aoe.

Galiö1 votes

That's not a modifier. Champions dont have base aoe aura dmg. The burn is it's own source of dmg.

All of those need you to be close to the target maybe?

Gunblade also does it. Red smite has a fairly high range

It might be coded as Ludens and the ability doing damage from the same source.

That or they nerfed it back when Ludens and Thunderlords were a thing since it let you pretty much instantly pop Thunderlords from one ability and an auto attack which did a ton of burst very quickly.

Other than that, no idea.

Because Ludens can only be used via already casting a spell, and would make procing electrocute way too easy. The others stand alone as their own effects

Red Smite, Ignite and even Bami's Cinder should not be able to proc keystones honestly.

I definitely agree with this. However, and for consistency, item 3285 should be able to proc it till they choose to remove them being able to proc it.
