Ryze feels really good laning and 1v1ing, but team fights are just weird and bad

I can pretty much destroy anyone 1v1 or 1v2, but when it comes to a team fight, full on 5v5, if they have any bit of a front line, it's so hard to get Ryzes damage through. I almost never find myself able to get a double E down to spread my flux and Q 3 or 4 members on there team. And if I do focus my rotation on the only people I can, there front line, I just feel so useless because there mid laners damage can cut through and get to other people. Anyone else feel this way?

So Ryze isn't built for teamfights? Kinda fair considering how amazing his dueling power is. Everyone has some sort of weakness
