Jungling isn't that bad. Literally just do Krugs.

So much of the jungle exp is in Krugs now. Hell, do your enemy's Krugs too. They probably ignored them.

Focus on them and you won't find yourself behind in gold/levels.

I used to do Krugs even on Skarner before his passive reached them lvl 2. I never found myself far behind in gold/level, even when I was set back.

#Literally just consistently clear Krugs. Stop ignoring them.

They give more exp lvl 1 than the other camps do at lvl 17+.

so true. if you take them every time they go up (2:40) you will be the same level as your SOLO laners

Its pretty absurd tbh.

Now that Skarner's spires reach Krugs I can full clear the jungle and still get to scuttle as it spawns, usually putting me a level ahead of the enemy jungler so I can outfight/smite it.

Why , who will keep complaining about the role being bad if they do Krugs? Jk , yea , jungle is not bad as people sound it like It's no way the weakest role or autofilled role at all

WoonStruck2 votes

Its definitely most auto-filled. I get it all the time queuing for top/mid.

However, I don't feel like its weak at all if you know what you're doing, and I don't even play that strong of a jungler.

My only issue with playing jungle atm is that I want to lane as Vlad and get my reactions/match-up knowledge back to where it was before I started taking certain medications, now that I've stopped taking them.

######Being knocked down ~25ms+ reaction time effectively changes a LOT more than you'd think. I went from easy 35 game plat each season to struggling at low gold, but that might also just be ranked roles at the start of the season messing up matchmaking, making everything rather unreliable.

Going from plat+ ability to playing in that MMR and dragging yourself down to low gold is honestly the worst experience I've ever had from this game.

Drugs are some serious shit.

Idk man , in my games as someone who duos with a jungler . he gets autofilled very often the role that has the highest number of autofill is support

WoonStruck1 votes

I tend to get autofilled to jungle WAY more at gold+ MMR than either role bot lane combined.

People seriously think its that bad.

But then again, people seriously ignore the insane numbers on Krugs too, so....

######also I queue top/mid, so outcomes might be a bit different.

Or we could just revert the bad jungle changes before exp was shoved into scuttle, yeah lets do that instead.

WoonStruck2 votes

Or you could just stop ignoring Krugs since they give absurd exp compared to the rest of the jungle.

Yes, the jungle needs work, but its not nearly as bad as people are acting.

##"All of the exp" wasn't "shoved into scuttle" because it gives the exact same exp as the other camps early-mid game and barely more late game.

There’s like no exp in Scuttle lmao

You can secure every scuttle all game, and still be at the same level, if not lower, than the ganking enemy jungle.

The best strategy is taking raps and golems every chance you get + enemies raps + golems. Gromps, Wolves, and Scuttle is only if there is literally nothing else to do on the map, which should only be 2-3 times early game

Your post sounds remnicent of an AFK farm type of jungler.

i don't consider 165 − 280 exp to be like no exp, and thats not even counting the good chunk of gold it drops on top of the vision control it provides makes it required to consistently be secured to ensure map control, though i doubt you actually care about this topic.

WoonStruck1 votes

Considering most people ignore at least one camp in their jungle, losing out on scuttle isnt a huge deal since they can just clear that camp.

The only time scuttle is really a big deal is if you clearing for objective control, you're FAR behind, or if youre already clearing your entire jungle and using it to build a consistent lead.

And if youre FAR behind, you're better off clearing that Krug camp that most people skip because its safer and gives significantly more than any other camp.

In the end krugs is the least taken camp despite it being so valuable for a reason, its not like people just choose to pass up on clearing them because they dislike EXP and gold most of the time its because you literally cannot make the time to go and clear it or maybe the jungler your playing struggles to clear krugs in general so it takes even longer then it would for other champions.

i'll admit i had issue with your post right away in general because it implies many people are too stupid to realize how much resources krugs give when thats simply not the case there are reasons people avoid the camp and its certainly not because they don't realize the camp is valuable.

don't believe me? have you seen a single person post or comment and go oh krugs is that valuable? i had no idea? then thank you for the information, of course you haven't because unless your totally new to league you know the value krugs give.

WoonStruck1 votes

I did Krugs on Skarner just fine, even at level 2, before they changed his spires to be in range of them.

There's literally no excuse for not doing Krugs unless the other team's jungler is ganking the lane you're by or attempting to take an objective.

#A champion would have to be level 7 or greater (after considering jungle exp scaling) to out-value Krugs exp. And that's only at equal level, and IF you get the kill, not an assist.

Durzaka1 votes

Most people ignore Krugs because of their location, not because they think they arent worth it.

On top of that, Krugs easily take twice as long as other camps to clear, if not more.

WoonStruck1 votes

Their location isn't anymore out of the way than Gromp, which many people take. Unless you're hyper-focusing on mid specifically for whatever reason, there's not an excuse for not taking them, especially if you can't contest scuttle.

Durzaka1 votes

what? Yes they are more out of the way than gromp. You can walk directly from Blue to Gromp, its a very short distance. Its just as short as from Blue to Wolves or Red to Raptors.

Krugs you have to go all the way around the wall (one way or another, either before you engage if your gap closer is on CD or after its dead when your gap closer is on CD). Unless your specifically pathing there to go through tri to gank that lane, it is very out of the way.

WoonStruck1 votes

If you drag Red while you're mindlessly autoing it instead of standing still its not really that far away.

Also, the reverse works. Dragging Krugs towards Red massively reduces the wasted walking time.

If you have a ranged ability, even better because you can drag them toward you before you're even done doing the other.

GankLord1 votes

The reason people don't do krugs as much as junglers now.

1 It takes a while too clear 2. It's so far away that if for some reason the lane it's closest to gets ganked by the time you get there it's too late to make a difference 3. Right now if you don't pick a jungler with a fast clear you're more likely to lose the game because you can't rotate quickly and leave your laner vulnerable to being camped while you try to catch up on xp. As a result, you can't afford to spend so much time on clearing when you can be ganking and reaping more benefits than you would clearing krugs.

I will agree jungling isn't a bad role but right now the jungle isn't in a place where you can diversify much. Ganking is definitely more lower risk higher reward than clearing camps at the moment. The current jungle is pushing that playstyle. As a result, if you chose to gank when/where it matters vs ganking more than you clear you're going to get hate from your teammates. Also with damage being so high I barely have time to clear before I have to go help out a lane. I don't think I've been in a game yet where 3-5 minutes have passed and I haven't seen 2-4 deaths on either side. As a jungler now your job is more to babysit lanes to make sure they don't feed rather than making a substantial contribution/secure objectives. I used to be able to carry as a jungler I haven't been able to do that since season the start of S7.

Also with the introduction of scuttle you cannot really afford to give up that vision control and need to rotate to that ASAP. Vision has been nerfed heavily and laners at least at the lower elos don't pay too much attention to their wards. As a jungler you need that vision control.
