Okay, I really do like the direction the new E is headed, don't get me wrong. But after claiming that you want to preserve AP tristana (hence the high ap ratio being left) why the HECK did you change one of AP trist's primary sources of dmg to PHYSICAL dmg??? For an AP burst assassin this is a death blow (anyone remember AP eve?) Not to mention, with the removal of DFG, AP trist is gonna have even less burst than ever now.

if you autoatack it deals physical dmg if you rocket jump it deals magiic damage
this way they can tweak the skill for both of them
Thryale1 votesactually, there's some more fine print. Simply rocket jumping on the charge doesn't detonate it. It only detonates if you rocket jump on it AND it has 4 charges already primed.

It has a 1.8 AP ratio now are you high? Nerfed? Rocket Jump also now has a 1.4 AP ratio. Not to mention that AP trist literally 1 shots ADCs with only R and no other abilities late game. To top it off, her whole kit will be AOE now so you can actually kill more than one person at a time. Plus, because you already have such high damage, it is actually a massive bonus to get physical damage put into the kit because the only way to not get one shot would be to itemize MR, but you would still get one shotted because of physical dmg.
The only thing they "nerfed" about ap trist is the higher skill cap and much more room for counterplay. You need to auto attack exactly 4 times and then land a jump on top of them to get the stupidly high 5.2 ratio rotation. So basically they can run like hell if you all in rather than just watching you instakill them on level 6. Also, to pull off the AOE and maximize damage you need to make sure enemies stand next to each other which is technically doable with positioning and your Buster Shot.
Thryale1 votesthe key thing here is reliability. sure, her best case scenario may give her higher total ap ratio than before, but her poke has been severely nerfed to compensate.
Another thing to take into consideration is that her atk spd per lvl has been nerfed, so that makes landing those aa's before the charge times out much more difficult on ap trist due to ap trist not building any atk spd. (sure you could get nashor's, but that limits yer burst due to nashors being high cost with low ap)
Also, I don't know where you got 5.2 from. 1.4 + 1.8 + 1.5 = 4.7 not 5.2
EDIT: oh, and another thing, ap trist is all about getting resets. but with the new kit, her reset dmg has been drastically nerfed due to the base dmg on her jump taking a huge hit in favor of the new amp mechanic on her E.

Thryale1 votesthe problem here, is that AP trist still has strong burst, but she really relied upon resets in team fights. But the rework took a lot of the base dmg from her jump and put it in the amp mechanic of her E. Combine that with the fact that half of her burst is now phys dmg, she is not only going to have a hard time itemizing against her opponents, she is also going to be very lack luster after deleting that one target.
