If Kog'maw gets nerfed, he deserves it

I usually don't pay too much attention to LCS, but this Kog'maw really caught my attention. Look what Bjergsen is able to do with him every time he plays him. It's just constant poke with insane range and very low mana costs. Kog'maw is essentially a better version of Ezreal. He's able to do full damage to whoever he wants without having to worry about teammates body blocking for squishies (unlike Ezreal) And his mana costs are low enough that he's able to spam much more than other poke adc's. And let's not forget that %health damage. I'm honestly surprised Riot has allowed him to exist in his current state for so long.

low mana cost???

It's not as bad as some other champions, like Poppy or Urgot.

Well if you're comparing his mana costs to things like URGOT then every champ other than Anivia has 'low mana costs'

AD Kogs ult is a vision tool and Tri proc, thats pretty much it.

AP Kog relies too heavily on his easy to dodge ult to be that great of a threat.

......let's not forget that 2 months ago Kog'maw was worse than average, he was rarely played, and he never made use of the %health (tank meta coming in, of course he's gonna shine).

Bjergsen was playing him long before cinderhulk became popular. This "rarely played" is nonsense.

Maybe Bjerg did well because he's played him for so long, and he practiced hard? I am very sure that the majority of players would most likely be unable to reach Kog's full potential, unlike Bjerg who seems to do great with him. And it's true, the MAJORITY of players 2-3 months ago were playing Jinx Kalista Graves Lucian as ADC.....Kog was not on the list.

Just cuz Bjerg has been playing him for a long time (in LCS?) doesn't mean he isn't rarely played. He is rarely played, even now, because he is a terrible champ for solo-queue, even with the current meta...

So you meant to say he has above advantage mana cost

"but muh mobility" boards incoming

The mid-lane Kog'maw is really not that strong. He has increasing mana costs on his ultimate, and relies on the power spike that he gains from Luden's Echo to be effective. It's also easy to gank him, and he has a weak laning phase. Not sure what's OP about it.

This pick i feel was a one that was very conditional. his mana costs aren't low either (hence why a tear was built). his E having a 120 mana cost when maxed out. and while his ult has an initial 40 mana cost it can build up quickly (up to 400 mana cost per cast). He would only have around 1k mana without the tear which doesnt leave any room for mistake to miss any of his ults. not to mention his low mobility.

Someone is mad.

The amount of range he gets with his ult is insane. It's also AOE, and he can spam it over and over again. And he has %health damage. Do I really need to explain why this is OP?

His health% damage is on his auto attacks, though.

Kog'Maw needs a team around him that can protect him, because he pops like a balloon and has no mobility abilities. TSM just played that comp well.

This is true of all adc's. Your point is irrelevant. And I don't care if his %health damage is "only on his autos". He still gets it. Every adc is supposed to have something that makes them unique, but I feel like kog'maw has everything. He has good damage regardless of whether he has AP or AD, he has a slow, a ridiculous amount of range (more than Caitlyn or Jinx), and %health damage. With the exception of Jinx maybe, Kog'maw has the most loaded kit among adc's by far.

Yes all adc's need protection, but the majority of them have at least some form of peel; Kog'Maw is extremely dependent on others because he has no hard cc or mobility whatsoever. Varus and Ashe have their ults and slows; Caitlyn, Ezreal, Graves, Corki, Lucian, and Tristana have 'dashes'.

How is hit kit overloaded? Simply listing his strengths doesn't really convince me, I can do that too.

"Vayne has such an overloaded kit. She has stealth, a stun, low cd dash, and %health true damage"

It doesn't matter how little he was played before. He's being played in LCS, the only place where it actually matters. Because we all know Riot doesn't take bronze, silver, gold, or even platinum seriously.

I would be outraged. He has counterplay, you have to shut him down early. The jungler has to realize this and keep constant pressure on mid lane.

I have been maining AP kog'maw for the last 2 seasons and would be really upset if my favorite champion was no longer viable.

Kog'Maw is nearly entirely damage. He has no mobility, only a slow for crowd control, and he has no passive until he dies.

Also, have you personally played against a Kog'Maw because it seems you have just been watching the LCS and saying "OMG look at that, OP!"
