That is absolutely false. If you actually want to win here's what you have to do:

Learn the champion you play;
Learn the matchup (the champion you play against);
Learn what you should do on the map and where you should be on the map at all times relative to your and the opposing team;
Play well mechanically and always look to improve;
Do not ever ban anything as it shuts down any chance of you learning to play hard matchups;

Boom, you're diamond.

While learning your champion is not that hard (mostly), learning matchups and what your role in the game is relative to everything else are two things which are quite difficult, so I wouldn't say it's a case of "boom, you're diamond", kind of undersells the work you need to put in to do these things.

Also, I disagree on the point of banning no one. If I were to plan on playing Aurelion Sol, banning Zed is a really good idea as he is a common pick (in my elo) and the match up favours Zed by a wide margin. Learning the matchup isn't going to change that, and while as Aurelion you can always ignore Zed and roam, I would definitely prefer to face a less unfavourable matchup, which would improve my winrate. You can always ban a champion who will make life hell for your teammates, or someone who you cannot trust your teammates to not feed as well.

Are you trying to improve your winrate or to improve your ability to play the game? Once you learn how to play around Zed, you will never have problems against him and you can bait out a Zed pick.

Concerning trust, your teammates can feed full attack speed amumu so that's really not saying much.

And its true that your team mates can feed anyone, but some champions in particular can take over the game if fed. Irelia, Zed, Yasuo, Leblanc, Fizz, all really good at snowballing in low elo. I'm only Gold 5, never bothered to climb higher (if I could? idk, maybe), so I can't speak about higher elo, but taking one of these or similar champions off the table will help your teammates minimize their feeding at lower elos.

You just have to realize that even if you lose, you gain something and that's knowledge.

Yeah, I can agree with that. There is a reason why Yi is considered op in lower ranks.

Kinda disagree. Had teams(countless times) feed and lose games with very strong picks. Picks can help but require peole to actually know how to play them/the game

While i do think Irelia is bullshit, i know she has a fairly skilled kit. I just ban her because a skilled irelia can completely take over a game, while an unskilled Irelia will just run into the enemy team and insta-die. But calling irelia a "bullshit retard no skill overpowered champion" while playing udyr just seems like hashinshin talking. where all champions that counter you are overpowered no matter what. Even if these champions have bad matchups that you could counter but are too stupid to do anything about.

You are the type of player diving/overextending an Irelia/darius/urgot/etc. And when you inevitably die, you blame your jungler or complain about balancing.

You're just mad that there exists champions who can 1v1 Udyr. For some odd reasons, the old Irelia never could.
