To those who complain about Ahri

Because apparently we are going back this yearly circle jerk clique that just rips on Ahri and calls her toxic.

Do you enjoy laning against: Syndra Leblanc Fizz AnnieHeimerdinger Malzahar Anivia

Because I find them to be much bigger problems. They may not all have the same mobility, but fighting against them in lane is pure cancer unless you hard counter them. Ahri at least leaves it up to your skill as to whether or not you beat her.

Ahri may get away a lot, but she has no damage unless you feed her. She is very much on the level of Katarina where if your team doesn't deal with her roams properly she is going to snowball. It is your job to help deal with that and most of the time she has to save at least 1 dash to run away and you can kind of predict when she is going in.

I find it 10x more toxic to be highly mobile and erase people or just have stupid gimmicks that literally lead to death with 1 mistake.

I main Veigar mid. And at the very least his full rotation takes skill combined with how badly the enemy team lets you farm (some people think shoving lane is bullying him when its actually keeping him away from the minion wave with harassment that doesn't push much like Nasus).

If you want to call me a Ahri fanboy go ahead look me up. 0 Ahri games this season or at all recently.

You main a champion that is a soft counter to ahri and act surprised when you don't find it that oppressive? I'm sorry but I believe that opinion is a tad bias.

That's like a Velkoz saying Annie is really weak...duh, your kit is meant to counter her kit

I agree... When I see Ahri I either pick Akali or Kassadin and fk her. Or shove my balls hue Kassadin hue down her throat.

And just so you guys know. Playing against the first Ahri I have seen in ranked in about 4-5 months just now. So the high pick rate thing is really only by specific players. Just like how I have mained Veigar for almost 3 seasons.

Update:

She got super fed off roams and because our team comp was pretty much all squishies and skill shot CC. We won game because our Poppy wrecked top so hard that their jungle rage quit. Meanwhile our jungle seemed to have no interest in killing her for free in mid lane and farmed most of the game and went bot maybe 2 times. I even warned our team that she would out roam me because she is faster and I can't just follow her into bushes.

The second I hit Abyssal + Morello as Veigar I could 1v1 her if she didn't have flash. Built a Spirit Visage late game for extra MR and hp combined with increased heals from Soraka and the 40% CDR finisher.

Moral of the story. If their is an Ahri your lanes have to be safe. You also need some kind of easy to hit or targeted hard CC to lock her down or area denial. And if she starts to get ahead build against her. As Veigar I often have a 6th slot that can be just about any item. So I went with the one that helped against the fed enemy. Sometimes I'll even build Randuins or other normally tank or bruiser items to help me live because my damage is not the problem.

Game 2 against Ahri same match up:

Learned my lesson from the first one and roamed a lot more and was better at landing the stuns after having a previous game with the same match up. Destroyed Ahri and snowballed with my team. I still stand by my skill match up statement. And whoever is blindly downvoting me, I can tell its one person. You obviously have no clue about the game right now. Ahri is the least of the games problems. So many bigger fish to fry than the mid who is almost completely a skill based mid laner.

Risk of Fate

With how the gameplay boards have been recently, I'm surprised you don't have any more. Any time I bring up "How to beat Ahri" or say she's somewhat decent, I get downvoted to hell and back. Also, you apparently can't use Ahri and Skill in the same sentence because she's like Riven and braindead to play (I personally don't think so, but I actually personally have issues with mechanical stuff so Riven is a hard champ for me to learn)

Pick Anivia or Kassadin into her, keep an eye on her roams, she misses charm turn on her. If she has ult, force her into using it defensively. At about the 40m mark, she falls off and any Juggernaut or Tank can easily deal with her as the True damage portion of the Q is usually not enough to really stop someone going on her. Now watch as I get downvotes because I'm a Bronze skrub even though I have at least 500+ games on her over 3 seasons.
