so when is garen going to be able to take extended fights?
its one of the largest weaknesses of the champion, that we cant stay in the fight with him, since he still has massive cooldown windows, combined with complete lack of in combat sustain.
this leads to garen getting outpaced by practically every single diver, skirmisher, and other juggernaut in the game, when the fight just takes long enough (usually more than one or two ability rotations at best). even marksmen in some cases.
a champion who is forced into a hit and run playstyle to somehow bridge his cooldown windows, without the mobility to support such a playstile.
every other juggernaut is directly designed to be able to deal sustained damage and stay in fights, while sustaining themselves through those fights. the big midseason patch is here, and there was nothing you could have done with him to change villainy around and give him better extended trading patterns?
i wish some rioter would at least step forward and start a discussion on the champion.
there isnt a even proper itemization path we can take to gain in combat sustain like most other fighters.
doesnt have enough synergy with our kits, when one of our main damage tools is considered to be an aoe ability even when spinning on a single opponent with the damage increase. if at least his isolated spins would count as single target spell damage, we would have something worth considering.
would it be that hard to implement? the games engine already recognizes when garen spins on only one target and gains 33% increased damage. why cant this damage count as a single target spell?
bleed makes him a constant damage threat in fights and doesnt make him fall off during his cooldowns
passive once activated makes him want to keep going similar to darius passive
constantly auto attack while regaining health
(if you want to count him in there) have short cooldown abilities and inbuilt combat sustain
