Why Does Bronze Feel So Easy After You Have Climbed Out of it?

Generally, if I'm just one tier above, I shouldn't be that much better.

Either: A: Because you actually have gotten better or B: Because you got past the mental block of actually being in bronze so you're able to preform better.

Well, for Bronze in particular, most people cannot climb out of it. So there is a good chance when being matched against Bronze players that those players are pretty bad whereas in other elos, people are at least climbing somewhat and know to a degree what they can do to win games.

It is the lowest division and as such filled with the worst players. Not everyone there is horrible but many are due to that being where the horrible players get placed.

Consider that 30% of players are bronze. Silver 3 is about where you are better than 50% of the players. So if you make it to Silver 3, you're better than another 20% of people than when you left bronze 1.

Next time you're in a game with a bronze 4 or so ADC (I main ADC and secondary support), watch how they CS, and their positioning. It's painfully obvious what they're doing wrong, but they can't see it because they lack your perspective. I remember what it was like to be stuck in lower bronze, and I know what I must have looked like now that I'm roughly Silver 3.

I wish I had video of some of those games from when I was still lower bronze so I could yell at myself across the ages. :)

xd. I made it to Silver 3 but hard tilted and got hard stuck in silver 5.

I honestly think the lower your division, the more luck is involved. It only takes one person to not know what they're doing and feed Vayne 5 kills in laning phase to basically make the game unwinnable.

If you're in a match where everyone is playing champs and roles they're actually good at, it's rare people die more than twice in lane, making individual skill matter a lot more, since the enemy Vayne has much fewer spikes of gold, and for the most part, both teams will be even on CS.

I'm not trying to come off as 'holier than thou' but I've never been in Bronze elo, since I always end my seasons in at least gold, and the lowest I've been placed is Silver V. Even in low silver matches, there is a lot of random luck, and people who play bot and not understanding how to stop feeding a lane -does- make quite a few games skewed in one direction, regardless of what the other lanes do.
