Where are the Ahri Nerfs?

Why am I even asking? It probably won't happen.

Edit: I considered putting this in the Memes & Games section, but I couldn't find the right image.

If you've ever actually played Ahri you would know that she isn't broken. Yes her win rate is high, yes her ban rate is high, yes her play rate is high, but Ahri herself is not broken.

I've played as Ahri, I've played with Ahri, and I've played against Ahri, I can say as a confident fact that she is not the reason for most of her victories. Pre-6, very low mobility other than Q speed boost (which is only optimized when she's running away) and her only CC is blockabe by minions. Ahri's W targets the closest enemy (prioritizing champions, but not very far), her Q and main form of damage is not only a slow skillshot itself, but the forward damage is low and because you see it coming most times you can get out of the way of its return trip true damage. Lastly Ahri's ult, if you scare her she will burn her ult to escape, removing her good mobility tool and some of her damage output.

Knowing all of this about her, playing with as and against her, her win rate is high because she gets carried most games (landing 1 good E most times late game is the main reason she wins because she can't outplay squishy champions with brains due to the things I mentioned above) with sometimes people being stupid and don't use their knowledge of her to actually win against her. Most times when people lose it's because they get intimidated by her win rate without realizing how easy it is to win against her.

So her winrate is high because she gets carried a lot, makes sense. I think it also explains her high pickrate: players are noticing that picking Ahri increases their chances of getting carried lol

That and the luck of a fox is retarded, especially a sexy one.

people will say anything to defend broken shit. its hilarious that you are so bias that you think ahri isn't broken.

Unlike most people, I actually provide insight as to why I say it instead of "she's not broken, the end".

what insight? you are just saying a bunch of crap to try and justify her the way she is. Intimidated by her win rate? Do you ever see what you are writing? It can't have anything to do with the fact that at 6 if she hits you with a charm you are most likely dead. And after she gets a couple of items you die when she lands a charm.

It can't have anything to do with the fact that she is the safest champ in the game post 6, with one shot potential if she lands a charm. Her charm makes ganking for her incredibly easy. It can't have anything to do with the fact that post 6 she is ungankable.

She also has the best roam potential in the game.... except maybe talon.

It's sad because you are literally trying to argue against math with bullshit.

Oh my, you got charmed? Have you ever heard of items? item 3001 item 3156 item 3111 item 3140 You'll live just fine with these MR items.

Best roam potential? I'd give that to TwistedFate / Taliyah . Safest Mid Laner? I'd give that to Kassadin

Shuyin1783 votes

safest champ in the game post 6

Orianna Azir Kassadin I'm fairly certain these 3 are much safer post 6 than Ahri, with only 1 of them requiring their ult to escape anything. Not to mention, if you burn Ahri's ult then there goes not only some of her damage output, but a lot of her mobility and engage.

It can't have anything to do with the fact that post 6 she is ungankable

The things I just stated.

She also has the best roam potential in the game.... except maybe talon

AurelionSol Fizz Kassadin (Kass post 6) Katarina Lissandra (Liss mainly post 6, but can pre 6) Malzahar (Malz post 6) Taliyah TwistedFate Zed (Zed post 6) Veigar (can pre 6 but better post 6 for nuke ult) Every one of these champions has just as good if not better roaming potential. If Ahri misses her Charm then there goes her contribution to the gank. If you are coming at someone from the side and they walk up, 9/10 times you will miss the true-damage portion of your Q which drastically lowers your overall damage output. Meaning that it's the ADC and Support that are doing most of the work and you just showed up to land half a Q and a little Fox Fire that minions took 1 or 2 of the 3 from.

It's sad because you are literally trying to argue against math with bullshit.

Win/Loss/Pick/Ban rates don't look at the in-game details. It doesn't look at her KDA, it doesnt look at her CS, it doesnt look at her QE land/miss rates, none of that. While you have "math" for the win/loss/pick/ban, you don't have "math" for the stuff that actually matters, what she actually does in the matches themselves.

Azir is gankable if you can flank him and get some cc down on him. Kassadin is melee so if he tries to last hit, he might get ganked and only his flash ult will save him. Orianna doesn't have 3 billion mobility spells and is entirely reliant on how far her ball is from her.

There is a statistic page on op.gg, and she has very decent stats.

Rákãñ1 votes

Kassadin may be melee, but he can farm with Q to be safe if he is in a poor situation. His W gives him mana back, so its not hard to stay in lane for some time while playing around with his Q.

Incarceration1 votes

That's going to make him miss alot of cs and if you, as a laner, are good enough, you can punish him under tower as well to the point where you can get a double if you get ganked.

Edit: Ahri can still just Q to clear the wave and not miss a single cs if she is behind. Kassadin can't.

Rákãñ1 votes

That is true, but Ahri will have to back sooner if she is forced to farm with her abilities. Kassadin method is not as effective, but he can stay in lane longer.

Both can be dived and killed though.

Not Ahri, she has all 3 of those dashes and she has ranged autoattacks.

Her banrate is quite low.

Hi! Ahri main here! (Go ahead and accuse me of being biased but hear me out pls)

First off I would like to address that her Q and E are SKILL shot abilities, meaning you have to hit them for them to even work and it's easy to dodge both just by sidestepping a few pixels.

Her deceptive orb(Q) goes out dealing magic damage and returns dealing true damage. This is a skillshot as well and the second portion of her Q (the true damage) is easily dodged and the early game damage is pretty bad.

It's honestly so easy to predict her Q animation and dodge it because it's a relatively slow moving ability. Her early game damage with this ability is honestly trash and can't even be used to clear waves until mid/late game. However, they had a recent nerf/buff to kit making her Q now have a speed buff when the ball is cast out. I can agree this might give her too much mobility, but mind you this was the compensation for the nerfs on her Charm (I'll get to this soon).

Next we move onto her W, Foxfire. It conjures up 3 spirit orbs that prioritize champions in a (quite) small range of her. This does crap damage just like her Q in early game and can't really be used for damage output until mid/late game. Not to mention they actually did nerf her foxfire range AND damage a while ago. This is also one of her only lock-on abilities besides her ulti and I like the ability how it is right now.

Now for what Ahri is known for-- her charm has already gotten the 20% magic damage buff removed, it doesn't stop dashes anymore, and the AP scaling on it is really bad. Mind you if you miss a charm, you're probably dead because it has a fairly long cooldown and is a SKILL shot. Even the hitbox is small! But! I can agree that her lategame charm duration might be too strong. If anything they should reduce the charm duration in the lategame and keep it the same for early/mid game. Which would allow her to still be powerful but not "op"-- I have to keep reminding you that this is a skill shot-- and can be blocked by minions.

Her ultimate has 3 dashes and shoots out some foxfire-lookin orbs to damage nearby champions. I heard that her ulti's damage and range got nerfed before and honestly the damage on her ultimate is very small. The mobility on her ultimate is really powerful as an escape or engage yet it does low damage. Now, I want you to step back and look at her in general. She was a FOX who found some magic powers from a dying mage. So? Mobility is what her champion is all about. I believe the balancing of skillshots and her mobility is at a good point right now in league.

This goes for any champion-- a skill shot is an aimed ability that CAN miss and isn't lock on. Therefore, if someone hits a skillshot, they should be rewarded. If they reduce any more damage on Ahri overall- they risk ruining her completely.

Ah Ahri player has to use her kit and execute her abilities perfectly in order to secure a kill on a champion and I think that's how it should be. If you think her Charm CC is too strong (and I agree it is late game) then build a QQS/Banshee's Veil/Mercurial Scimitar/Maw of Malmortis/ or an Edge of Night (which I believe is ridiculously op right now.)

So there, I provided my effort at providing an argument consisting of my own opinion, factual evidence, counter arguments and solutions to this "ahri needs a nerf" matter. She isn't broken.

Go nerf Darius or something. Sheesh.

Incarceration1 votes

Well guess what, she gets a lot of rewards for hitting her skillshots, but not enough downsides when missing them.

RiceFieldWorkers1 votes

but not enough downsides when missing them.

Uhm, what? Do you expect her to have a debuff after missing a skillshot or..? Longer cool downs? Specify. item 3340

Incarceration1 votes

Actually having a window of opportunity to die when she misses those skillshots.

RiceFieldWorkers1 votes

Did I not mention that if she misses her Charm that she can die?

"Mind you if you miss a charm, you're probably dead because it has a fairly long cooldown and is a SKILL shot. Even the hitbox is small!"

Incarceration1 votes

Well that is false because she can use her q to run away and clear the wave till charm comes back up.

RiceFieldWorkers1 votes

Now you're just making up situations for the sake of arguing. I've made my point. I'm finished here.

Come back when you have a legit argument for me to respond to. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Incarceration1 votes

If you really want me to reword that, then okay.

She doesn't get punished for mispositioning as much as some other champions because she has way too many tools to deal with.
