We need to talk about this new ranked system. It's not an improvement.

So I get an autofill today, for the Jungle. Guess what though? I have no placement games in the Jungle and if I win or lose it's only going to add or gain +3 LP. It's a ranked game I could care about as much as say a normal.

All this "Splashing" Riot and defenders of Role queue told us was the answer to everything, is this ultra low-stakes +/- 3 lp. I lose that much for dodging, which I'm sure most of you do at least once a day. Nobody gives a crap about 3 lp.

Secondly, I'm not a good player, I'm not claiming to be. However I spent the pre-season stabalizing my MMR in Silver 4. If I could make sure I'm stable in Silver 4, I was hoping to climb in season 9. Unfortunately; The provisional MMR started me in Bronze 4. I think i went 4/4 placements. So like; Bronze 3 50 lp abouts. Isn't it a bit strange to be starting in bronze 4 when I had stable silver 4 mmr? And my team has silver borders, so they were all there last year too.

So the goalposts were shuffled, most of Bronze is Iron, some of Silver is Bronze, a little of Gold is Silver etc--- I think Diamond is still Diamond. But most people lost a bit due to Iron being added (Why do we even need Iron?). Hey, I mean again I don't want to come off as somebody complaining about their rank, but I actually had to work on improving at the game to get out of Bronze last year, and I believe I succeeded. But Riot wants to tell me I'm Bronze again. I know it's just flairs, but that hurts a little you know?

Enough about ranks though, it's this SPLASHING crap that really bugs me. If I have a role, and an off-role, and outfills. Only one role is really counting in this system. Right now I'm a Top lane main - but that could change. And the secondary role games, the outfills - they are about as worthless as 3 lp. There is really no purpose to having two roles, there's no purpose to off-roles. It's just doubling your time in ranked.

And I really wonder how many people will even complete enoguh autofills this season to even get a rank in Support and Jungle. For serious. People are just going to not give a crap about their autofills now, was that the entire point? I'm seeing autofill supports select Yasuo or Nasus. I dodge those games for a harmless -3 LP.

Now I'm sure the majority of the League community is sort of these guys that OTP, they main a lane. This system changes NOTHING for them. But for people like myself, who haven't really figured out what they want to do, it's a discouraging system. You lose ranks, you must focus on one role. Just stinks TBH.
