Sivir could do with a better Q(Boomerang) interaction
Right now her Q is just chunky-chunk damage to a single target early-mid game (Or basically wasted vs a group).
It would be nice if it had more of an interaction with the rest of her kit so it doesn't become basically time wasted that could have been auto-attacking.
Early on in one of her remakes she was quite good with CDR and Armor Penetration with both Q and W working quite well with it. This became really pointless due to item changes and her W gaining crit, making the loss of crit not worth the (now weaker) pen and CDR.
So her ult buffs her W, her AAs and W both crit. Her ult ignores her Q, as does crit. It is also worth noting her Q took a good few damage nerfs too.
Why not enhance some aspects of her kit to better accommodate having this ability?
Example: Passive: Fleet of Foot (Now only triggers from basic attacks) Sivir gains 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 bonus movement speed for 2 seconds when she damages an enemy champion with a basic attack.
Q: Boomerang Blade (Refreshed damage, works with crit) ACTIVE: Sivir hurls her crossblade in the target direction. Enemies in its path take physical damage, reduced to 100% - 40% (based on enemy hit). Upon reaching maximum range the crossblade returns to her, refreshing the damage Each unit can be damaged only once per pass. Up to a maximum of 200% damage. PHYSICAL DAMAGE:» 35 / 55 / 75 / 95 / 115 (+ 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110% AD) (+ 50% AP) (+ 50% Crit Chance)
Example: 100AD, 0AP, 50% Crit chance at rank 5 Two hits on single champion BEFORE: 203 damage Two hits on single champion AFTER: 275 damage
Example: 100AD, 0AP, 100% Crit chance at rank 5 Two hits on single champion BEFORE: 203 damage Two hits on single champion AFTER: 330 damage
Ult: On The Hunt (Additional passive) PASSIVE: Sivir gains bonus attack speed while Ricochet Ricochet is active. PASSIVE: Sivir gains bonus movement speed equal to 100/200/300% of her current Fleet of Foot passive for 2 seconds when hitting a champion with Boomerang Blade ACTIVE: Sivir rallies all nearby allies for 8 seconds, granting them and herself bonus movement speed that decays to 20% after a few seconds.
Basically the Boomerang would gain reliable bonus damage from crit chance, using 50% of your crit chance as bonus damage. Her ult would benefit the boomerang by providing a burst of heavy movement speed when hitting a champion with it compared to the benefit of just auto attacks. Note: The bonus of auto attacks and boomerang can stack, but boomerang provides nothing pre-6 and will scale up as her ult does, providing late-game mobility, one of her specialities.
This means her Q benefits from how you build sivir for the rest of her kit (crit) and provides utility for Q aside from it's damage (so long as you hit with it).
Honestly, it might've been fun to add the speed boost when blocking an ability with E too. It seems like her passive doesn't pack much punch, but providing bursts to it on skill-based cooldowns would be neat.
Obviously I'm not mentioning any balancing it would need or anywhere her power might been to be evened out. And of course, the numbers would need tweaking by someone better than I.
