I only really have one minor concern about the upcoming Vel'Koz rework

Why is he in the main 6 again? I mean I get it you want to diversify his playstyle and give him a more strategic niche to fill, but from everything We've heard from you, the changes he'll be receiving should be relatively minor. Hell, at one point you guys said it'd be more akin to a Tooltip change...

Not saying whatever you'll do to our beloved eyeball won't be significant, but if you can boil his changes to Tooltip level in terms of broad change, then why is he even on the main 6 at all? Honestly wouldn't this have been a good time to address some outliers who have relatively outdated kits like Annie , Morgana , or even Galio ? People constantly have issues with Annie's limited counterplay, Morgana's kit is so outdated she doesn't even function as a proper mid-laner anymore, and oh dear Galio, He seriously needs help. What's more these casters all fit into the category of "immobile mages".

If you want to talk about strategic niches, I don't think the reasons that Annie and Morg have their niches are quite so healthy. Annie is reliant on her super powerful stun and flash combos with Tibbers (Who at one point you mentioned wanting to be more than just a stunbot, but did subsequently nothing with), and Morg is hanging on by the bootstraps of her frontloaded Q, and the relatively gimmicky power of her E to make anyone CC immune on her E. Galio is suppose to be a good anti-mage, but his lack of mobility, the ease of interrupting his ultimate, and his relatively poor ability to fit into virtually any composition that isn't hand-tailored for him, makes him just honestly a poor choice for virtually any role you put him in.

I understand the community is outraged that you're touching Vel'koz, especially when he's one of the few champions generally considered "balanced", not that the community isn't fickle about that term usually. But i think the bigger reason so many of us are confused about Vel's inclusion in this list is that simply there are other mages stuck with either strategically gimmicky, or outright outdated skillsets that severely limits what they can do, and an update like this is a fantastic time to address their issues. Hell while we're at it, chuck Fiddlesticks in there, or diversify Karma a little more from lulu.

These champions might not be in the worst spot (Save Galio), but the opportunity to iterate on them a little better, is honestly just something i think is being squandered a little in favor of what you've made seem like a fairly minor rework for a champion no one really thought was in a bad spot.
