So fucking hard to carry in this meta.
Can't survive long enough to make plays when the enemy team just steam roles right over top of you because one of your lanes under performed. Feels fucking good.

When you're playing a tank top and your bot lane feeds the enemy vayne.

When you're playing a tank you should be winning lane by default, because you have the resolve tree, and the resolve tree pretty much autowins lane.
Troll?
It's easy as shit to carry in this meta. Actually I'd say hard-carrying is a lot easier because it's a lot easier to snowball.
Difference is you need to be a strong laner.
I disagree. If your laner is a tank and you're not, if you can't out shove and impact the map faster than your time can int... it becomes quite difficult.
I feel as though tanks shouldn’t be able to do as much damage with their AoE abilities towards minions
What should they be able to do?
Tell me, what do you want tanks to be good at other than teamfights? What should a tank be doing for the first 15-20 minutes of the game, other than dying repeatedly to a "more interesting" champion?
I’m saying that they should do less AoE dmg towards minions so that they can’t push waves as fast. Since bruisers at their current state can really only excel at splitpushing or being relevant towards the landing phase (which a lot includes roaming) I don’t think tanks should be able to match their push and should suffer some disadvantages from it
That doesn't answer my question, that's just yet another thing that people apparently now think tanks shouldn't be able to do.
So, except teamfighting, what else should tanks be good at? What do you want a tank to do in the first 15-20 minutes, or if the game doesn't end up revolving around big teamfights?
Tanks should be good at not dying, because that's why you'd pick a tank. To be safe and survive to the mid/late where you can play with your engage and CC to carry your team.
ATM tanks just assblast anyone that tries to fight them, at any point in the game unless that person is an adc.
So should they be able to sit in lane and prevent kill pressure? Should a tank excel at holding a tower 1v2 because they're exceptionally hard to kill in a dive, and do a really good job at stalemating lane bullies? Should champions that rely on snowballing kills (
) be naturally countered by the sheer bulk and unkillability of tanks?
Because that's what it means if sheer beef is the primary strength of tanks. And that's why
was reworked to be a duelist, why people hated playing against
when he was first released, it's why people can't stand playing against
even though he has 0 kill pressure without jungle ganks- it turns out when a tank is really really good at not dying, skirmishers and juggernauts and divers keep jumping head first at them anyway and pitch a fit when they keep overextending and dying, because not being able to bully your lane opponent means they're oppressing you.
Shen was reworked because he was too good in high elo, not good enough in low elo, overplayed in LCS and had an outdated kit with targeted spells galore. Ornn does tons of damage, else I wouldn't mind how hard he is to kill.
Champions that rely on snowball shouldn't be able to kill tanks if the tank doesn't misplay, but they should be stronger than the tank in the early game to the point that they can farm it up fairly uncontested until the tank has at least 1-2 items.
Team fighting is what they excel at, they’re tanks because they’re made to soak up damage and dish out utility. I’m not saying a tank is supposed to be useless in lane, I’m just saying that Im this meta where bruisers are completely shit and can’t outduel tanks ever, that they should have an edge in doing something that they’re currently doing to be able to tilt the teams win into their favor (ie roaming). Also the purpose of a tank is pretty much to bring into a team fight so idk what you’re trying to argue.. if your team doesn’t utilitise you, they should deserve to lose.
Well that’s specific to top lane, which is in a shit spot. But other lanes it’s easier to carry id say.
It's never easy to carry in any meta, it's just the people you're going against or you just misplayed by running around going for kills instead of objectives - meaning you fell off and they scaled to lategame. Don't blame it on the meta unless you're challenger and you can only pick 20 champions and every game's outcome is decided by if you have Leona on your team or not.
Imo, it was easier to carry in s6 mainly bc (Again strictly my experience) mid was like the top tier role that snowballed lanes really hard. In This season theres a TON of damage and a lot of it is placed in ad roles, hence why when bot lane loses it's almost always a guaranteed stomp unless you got really fed as an assassin and can somewhat shut them down. There's also the factor that there is TOO much damage. There are a lot of "late game" champions that don't have poor early games due to the surplus of damage. Again strictly imo.
Lolwut? Season 6 was the season of megatank meta and support mids.
Yeah, watching Bjergsen and Faker playing Lulu mid, riveting stuff indeed.
Bjerg's
play though was amazing to watch

I'll give you that, I'm kind of hoping that this season with what appears to be a bit of a shake up mentality that we'll see a new suite of champs flow into the meta. Would be nice to see some unfamiliar faces floating around the rift and some surprise tactics rather than the copypasta that has been pretty much the last couple of seasons.

No idea what you're talking about lol. The game use to be at a point where 1 or 2 people could carry and teams were more aware to play around those people.
nah riot is fucking trash at balancing. and trying to play with ppl who are complete and utter garbage at this game is even worse in this meta. and i hate how i cant force myself to play braindead champs that wreck in certain elos. you cant have fun in this game if you have a certain taste for different champs.
Bah. I know a challenger adc main whos adc of choice is varus.
Who most definatly IS NOT the meta adc pick right now.
You can do just fine with anyonr with enough practice.
it's so hard to carry when my solo laners feed, nothing i can do about it.
Now that there is more snowball it should be easier right? WRONG! Now everyone deals so much damage that they can oneshot a 30/0 diver, 1v5 is only possible for long range champs now (Xerath, Ziggs, Adc)
I see "carrying" pretty often, with one of the current broken champions. But actually it's more stomping, right.
I feel you man
Was about to say its easier than last season then I realized we're still in s7 but Ive had an easier time with kat since the preseasn. With Ahri tho not so much gonna try out my other mages soon tho
Kat does really well w/ the domination runes, her blink proc's sudden impact and she can pretty easily proc electrocute both of which add to her already strong early burst damage.
supports are too strong. how will you carry when the enemy gets too many shields and cockblocks at very little cost
Just play zoe.
Youll have so much fun 1 shotting adcs you wont even care when you lose.
Honestly I'm having the time of my life deleting Zed/Talon at level 2-3 with Xerath because they think they can dodge Comet bootless and go for the muh skill sword + pots start.
Yas too lol (xerath can basically bitchslap any melee lol). Oh you want to go for a minion, be ashame if someone W'd you (slow) and then Q'd you for a nice chunk.
Think about what you just said.
... because one of your lanes under performed.
Be that laner that causes the other to underperform. Simple solution.
This meta is all about the snowball.
Even with perfectly timed
ults on me we still lost this game :(

No one even really fed, tho our jg did dc for 5-10 minutes at one point.
