Rylai's Buffs Saved Veigar
So, now almost all spells apply a 40% slow with Rylai's. This slow can be applied easily with Veigar's Q. Follow it up with your stun that is much easier to land due to the pretty heavy slow applied by Rylai's Q, and then land W.
Furthermore, Veigar can now more effectively peel people off him with his Q by kiting and slowing them.
Finally, now the only item with 120 AP is Rabadon's, right? Veigar has always been about maximizing AP, correct? Well now that Rylai's, Luden's and Zhonya's are all only 100 AP, they are now all viable choices in Veigar's build, meaning now Rylai's has no downside compared to buying the other ones, plus it gives him a nice chunk of HP too! Also, the buff to the passive on Rabadon's helps Veigar even more.
So basically, this is the build I propose that Veigar should now buy:
-
Athene's for the CDR and mana regen. Mana regen is very important on Veigar, even if Morello has more overall AP.
-
Sorc Boots, self explanitory.
-
Rylai's for the slow for kiting and also for landing that stun MUCH more easily. The nice thing is that when you buy this item, you're hitting the part of the game when you've actually farmed enough AP to do enough damage with your combo to kill a squishy, so the Rylai's at this stage is essential to make that combo happen.
-
Zhonya's if they have lots of AD or key abilities that you can stop with Zhonyas, or just for extra safety. Rabadon's if you don't need Zhonya's right now.
-
Rabadon's or Zhonya's, whichever you didn't get on number 4. You could also get Void Staff at this stage if they're stacking MR on tanks or bruisers.
-
Luden's for more damage if they're squishy. Void Staff if they have tanks stacking MR and you didn't get it on number 5. Guardian Angel or Banshee's Veil or something like that if you feel you need another defensive item, Zhonya's is another defensive choice if you don't have it yet.
seems like a good replacement for
.
anyway, it is far more effective on more spammy DPS mages like
or
, or longer range poke mages like
. The movement speed is nice, but the
with anything else, unless the enemies have next to no magic resist. The new
seems pretty amazing in terms of AP, but it still takes a while to stack and is a major setback until then. I think this is a good opportunity for us all to try out new things and see what works!
do i need to explain ?
?
I'd take this for sure, but i'd have only 20% CDR.
