When do I start gaining more LP....

Tentakill Myself··1 votes·1,397 views

I win 6 ranked games in a row, each game gave about 16-18 lp. I lose a game and it takes away 24 lp. I win 2 more games, then lose 1 game. Still not in promos.

When does my "ranked elo" start to raise to the point where I at least have a higher gain than loss?

Well you are in that top 15% of LOL players so I really dont know how they work the numbers on that high of elo. I know that you can be D5 and have Plat 3 - D2 players in your games. So it is all messed up will LP gain that high. I am in the Bronze to Silver area where it is all about your W/L all of us down there play only down 2 tiers and up 2 tiers.

Proud to be Bronze/Silver

That's it actually. I just looked and the games where I won 12 lp, I had plat III players on my team and the enemy team (I'm Dia V right now). Game I lost was the same thing, but since I'm higher rank, makes me lose the 22 lp. That actually makes a lot of sense. So I need to play when more Diamond people are on I guess?

Playing when more diamonds are on will not really help since you are likely at a mid plat MMR given the situation. losingmore then gaining means that you MMR is below your rank. While gaining more then you lose is usually a sign that you are above your rank in MMR.

Yeah, looks like I need to win my way back up then. Just weird. I was playing around 2300-2400mmr at the end of preseason. Oh well, THE CLIMB.

Let me get this straight? YOU GAIN 20 motherfckin lp for a win!!! I gain 8-9!!! What the fck is peoples problem man...

Lemme tell you something else, I LOSE 19-24(once lost 26) !!! You should feel happy for your +20 when there are people lile me who get 8-9

It is all based on your MMR and W/L ratio. I gain around 24-29 LP for a win and only lose about 18-22. My W/L is 72.7% t his season only 11 games in. Last season I was at a 54% - 57% W/L. Try to stay above 52%

It feels kind of random. I'm positive W/L ratio this season, and on a win streak. Gaining ~12lp per win, losing ~22lp per loss. I think it matters who you're being matched with/against as well.

117-104. Went 11-9 last 20 ranked games (diamond promos were HARD).

If you can get you win loss rate fairly positive say 100 wins to 90 defeats then it it should start giving you better gains compared to losses.

That being said the 6 wins in a row were only enough to almost get you breaking even in in wins vs losses for ranked.

You are currently at 74 wins and 79 losses for ranked solo Que with 2 defeats after that 6 game win streak.

You are not doing super bad for your rank but you are not doing well enough to be moving up in rank and have an MMR above your rank. You need to be playing against players better then your rank to be getting better LP gains compaired to losses but you are likely against more bronze 4/5 players.

MMR is basically the skill level that you are playing at and not the rank/division that you are. In other words a gold 4 can have a plat 3 MMR and will be moving up in rank really fast for wins aka 30+ LP for a win and losing say 12 LP for a loss because they are facing people will above their displayed rank of gold 4. MMR is changed all the time and if you are consistently beating players at a MMR then your MMR will be moved up. Loss to it and you move down. In other words it will push you to be at a 50% win rate which is when your MMR is where your skill matches other players.

This i coming from someone who remembers being bronze in season 2. There is a way out but you have to accept yourself as the problem of being in the elo hell that you are in if you are to ever escape. And saying that you accept it is not enough, you have to actually work at it to get out andit starts with making better decisions.

In bronze you will have teams that make tons of stupid mistakes I know this is still true from games with bronze friends. That having been said if you can reduce the amount of stupid mistakes that you make, things should start improving for you.
