Remember when they thought Grags E+ Flash + R lacked counterplay, so they gutted combo?

I agree I hate Quinn's combo as well, but difference is she dies easily if she messes up or gets caught. Grag even when he built full AP in the day built the AP+HP items so he was still tanky. Someone that instakilled you while also having 3k hp and some resist is kinda dumb.

Its no different with Hecarim or Lee Sin or Vi, they build 1 offensive item and kill you before you can react.

Gragas lacked counterplay because, while his combo typically wouldn't kill you, it would throw you into the enemy team and stun lock you for a while with no way of stopping it. You spell shield the E, the ult still throws you into the enemy team. You don't spell shield it, you're stunned when the ult hits. For anyone who didn't have flash up or something to make them CC immune for a few seconds, there was no way to stop yourself from getting thrown into the enemy team. And, even after the "gutting" of his combo that you're complaining about, the E still stuns for long enough for his ult to land. You just get punished harder for being bad and missing the E.

Quinn, on the other hand, can be stopped from killing you like this in a number of really easy ways. One is to just simply hit her with something as she's flying at you. Literally any champion or turret damage will pull her out of ult, and any minion damage will cripple her movement speed. If you're not smart enough to knock her off the bird, thus completely eliminating all of the damage from Skystrike and likely slowing her down enough for you to escape, or if you just don't have the range on your champion, defensive items are a good idea. She doesn't have any % max health damage, so if you don't let her get fed, even a Black Cleaver should be enough to stop her from killing you. Pick a tank, start Doran's Shield + 1 and aim for Corrupting Potion first back, then buy an armor item (likely Sunfire Cape) if you can get away with it. Quinn is also legitimately only strong right now because of the buffs to Lethality, which I expect to get nerfed in the near future.

I agree Quinn's current problem is lethality, good luck hitting quinn with anything with homeguard/tp/ ghost blade

Teleport is on a 3.5 second delay. If you can't at least start disengaging or prepare some kinda of AoE ability to hit her with the instant she lands to stop her (Soraka E, Ziggs W or E, Maokai E, something to damage her as soon as she lands), she's gonna lose both ult and Homeguards. Now she's moving only a little bit faster than you because of ghostblade, and potentially slowed/silenced/snared/stunned depending on what you did.

As for her speed, something as simple as a ranged basic attack that connects with her during the E animation will cancel the ultimate, stopping the Skystrike damage and making it a lot harder for her to burst you, especially if a tank piles on her.
