As an ADC main, why do I hate ''All around ADC metas''.

1st of all, I do understand that ADC/Marksman is crucial role in every single meta because everyone needs ranged constant physical damage dealer but I am not happy with the fact that every single time new meta that counter's Marksman comes out, sooner or later Riot has to do something in order to make it easier for marksmans to deal with the thing that counters them.

During the Ad Rengar, Elise, Lee Sin and Kha'Zix era Rito decided to give us (ADC's) better itemisation with stronger Infinity Edge, Blood Thirster that gives us a Shield, Ms buff after activating Mercurial Scimitar, etc, etc, and Indeed that helped us a little bit against all those jungle high damage dealers. What is happening now? We got the tanky meta, champions like Maokai, Sion, Gragas, Nautilus can easily get to the ADC so Riot decided to buff BOTRK even more so we can deal with tanks. Ok, I am ok with that since last night I was a full build Draven and I couldn't really touch enemy 5k HP Mundo with Sunfire and Thornmail, but....there is the other thing that lies behind the Tank vs Adc meta problem...All those champions listed above can easily protect ADC and there is no point to making ADC's even stronger if Gragas can spam CC, if Sion can CC 5 man with one lucky Q and peel for you, there is no point to buff ADCs itemisation if Maokai can point click root and knockbck enemy Assassin, Jungler or anyone who get close to you?

Honestly, whan I am playing ADC and I have Maokai or Sion with a little bit of brain in my team I feel safe and I have enough time to deal enough damage without even worrying that someone will get close to me except maybe VI or good positioned Zed, Other than that, I am free to dealtons of free damage after 3 core Items.

Riot, since ADCs are most common role in this game and since ADC is the role that fits every single meta, why don't you simply stop working around them and start doing something about bruisers instead since Bruisers are currently the worst role in game...When I think about bruisers I feel like they are not even from this game, they simply do not exist. What is the difference between 4k HP Gragas and 4k hp Jax? Both are tanky as fuck and both deal good amount of damage, they both fill the same rolw while one is tank and the other one is ''bruiser'' lol....

Is there anyone smart enough to tell me what exactly is the difference between tank and bruiser and please, I don't give a damn about theory...I want someone to tell me what's the difference IN GAMEPLAY.

tanks = lots of utility with low damage, bruiser = some utility, decent damage. Late game the tanks job is to peel, while the bruiser's is typically to dive the carries.

Exactly. Bruiser, think Vi, Renekton. Tank, think Rammus, Nautilus.

Do you really think full HP Sion deals less damage than full HP Olaf for example? Gragas deals tons of damage with his W, late game Nautilus can EASILY 1v1 9 out of 10 ADCs in game, etc, etc, the only bruiser that deals more damage than tank is Jax and that's it.

BRUISERS GET IN THERE AND LAY DOWN THEIR FUCKING LIFE SO THE FUCKING CARRY CAN GET A PENTA. Tanks do the same, but they live with like 2500hp remaining so they can face tank the nexus towers.

All the ADC buffs you listed are item-based though, which means late-game.

Most item buffs don't help out ADCs early/mid game, which is usually where most champions are stronger then them.

Tank is tanky CC Bruiser is tanky DPS

That actually has some pretty wide-reaching gameplay effects. Namely tanks excel in fights involving several allies and bruisers are much more focused on 1v1. Tanks also want assists where bruisers certainly want kills.

The big thing that seems to catch most people is that the level of tankyness in either class is essentially the same, where the general assumption is tanks will be tankyier. They aren't, they just use that tankyness for a different purpose.

Due to how bruiser damage works (they get damage for free in their kit, just as assassins, mages, and marksman get survival for free via range and/or mobility), most bruisers tend to be more mid-game carries than late-game as well, as their damage does eventually tapper off. If a bruiser does well - they'll end the game very early.

Bruisers focus on sustained dps and are powerfull duelists,

Most tanks focus on burstspike as they deal damage with their abillities, and trade high sustained damage for cc.

In a 1v1, bruisers will easily kill tanks and most other champs as their dps is far higher and their tankiness similar, but they suck in teamfights cause they need to stay in meleerange for a long time to use the dps, which needs them to be even tankier than tanks, and it makes them incredible vulnerable to kiteing/peeling.

If we compare maokai with shy for example, shy does far more constan damage, but mao has a higher burstcombo. In a 1v1, shy would be able to kill mao as she has far more damage over a longer timespan. If shy dives into the enemie backline however, she would need to land E and then do constant AAs while her W is running to eventually reach the same damage that mao does. Mao just needs to get in W range and can easily land all his damage in short time while also locking a focusetarget down for some time, after that he can actually fall back and wait for cds. Shy needs to stick in the fight much longer to simply reach the same damage as mao without bringing cc on the table, but since she has no gapcloser other than the ult, all it needs is one slow to keep her from attacking anyone.

So despite shy(or most other bruisers) needing to stick to a trget for a longer time, she got worse tools to do so than mao(or most other tanks), and she also has less tools to stay alive despite haveing to stay in focus for a longer time.

Mao has a low cd target gapcloser that makes him untargetable for a short time and roots thr target aswell as a low cd knocku+slow. this alows to easily stick to a target while also avoiding some damage. On top of that he has the damage reduce from ult and massive sustain from the passive.

Shy however just got her ult-gapcloser which unlike maos W can be interuppted by displaces and a ms-buff that at max alows similyr stickiness as the root+slow from mao, just that a single slow can already shut her down, and if she can't get into AA range within 3 sec after useing the ms-buff, she looses it and has a huge cd, meaning that the counter to her anti-kiteing mechanic is kiteing her. On the defense front, she gets 40 of both def stats, thats it. no cc to prevent people from doing damage, no sustain, no way to dodge incomeing damage and no %damage reduction, also no cc-reduction in any form.

while the shy-mao example is a bit extreme, it shows the difference in gameplay and also the core problem that forces bruisers into beeing lanebullies+splitpushers as bruisers just lack any tools to deal with teamfights.

And thx to how lanes work, most tanks can easily deal with bruisers in lane till teafights start, giving you nearly no disadvantage for picking a tank rather than bruiser.
