Before demanding a new champion/rework to me nerfed...

Make sure your judgment isn't clouded heavily by a bad game

Too many times have I seen someone lose to a new champion or a new rework then immediately call for said champion to be mega-nerfed. The frustration of losing can give a person a very negative viewpoint. Please, if you want nerfs, make sure you want them because the champion/item DEFINITELY needs to be tuned, not because you lost a game.

Many things effect how strong a champion is in a particular game. You have to know whether or not their innate power is the thing to blame before asking nerfs. Ask yourself these questions:

-Was said champion fed because it countered its lane oppenent?

-Does the player playing the new champion/rework play skillfully?

-Have I done whatever I could to counter the champion?

-Was I playing poorly?

-Do I know what the champion does?

-When said champion started to rip through my team like paper, was it because it was just extremely fed or it was because of its abilities/stats?

Its is very important you clearly understand the reason the new champion destroyed you. Most of the time, people just didnt understand how to counter it. Optimally, you would want to play a few games as, with, or against the new item to fully understand its strengths and weaknesses.

The reason we should go through this, rather complicated, process is because we want to avoid a very certain situation: Mega-nerfing a champion before people find out how to play against it. If this happens, the new champion will ultimately turn out unviable and weak.

This has been a PSA for the League of Legends community. Thank you for reading, and have a nice day.

PS: Yes, this message was inspired by the new Ryze rework. I thought it would be very important to make sure this verion of him receives the proper balance he deserves. We don't want ANOTHER Ryze rework, do we?

That is why champion releases are weird things since no one knows how to play a champ/play against it so it is hazy territory.

This is how I feel about the constant clad nerfs, his a is already 100 damage lower than it was live before MYMU and has a lower so ratio, riot guts his so ratios and expects you not to build tank and then make it where building tank gives you less ap so the only moves you use are r and e, now they're increasing troll pool cool down. Its a real shame people don't know how to handle clad and it causes him to get all the nerfs.

  • Do you go for item 1416 Razorblade or ignore this madafaker and just go straight for item 3153 Blade of the Ruined King and sell item 1041 machete lategame?

when the item came out I was like HOLY FK BLOODRAZOR RETURNS!!! but then you realize that this sonavabich does physical damage that champs like Rammus got 300+ armor and wouldn't do shit against him

Vlad and Ryze are not broken in the slightest. People just don't understand how their kits work, or how to play against them.

But, unfortunately, this being an F2P cash grab and all, anything whales can't beat will be nerfed into the ground. Thanks Beck.

THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS

Whenever I argue with people about a champ I can't help but wonder "have they even played this character"?

I'd call for Fiora early nerfs when she can chunk you down so hard when you just get back to lane, but i know if i don't feed her her mid game sucks

It also works the other way too. Some people consider a champ is weak or trash after one bad game on said champ. While some just stop playing a champ, others start asking for buff. Though in reality, that champ is strong with people who mastered him or in certain match up or team comps. Remember what happened to Azir?

We can't just use one game, bad or good, to judge a champ's power. There's a lot of factors that define a champ, more factors than what can be displayed in one game.
