Should something be done to Infinity Edge?

I don't know if its just me, but I feel like Infinity Edge is far too good of an item, one that gives players a huge power spike that let's them potentially take on anyone and win just due to RNG (not gonna lie I am a bit salty about this.)

I have a couple of ideas about what could/should be done, but I was curious to see other people's opinions on the matter as well, such as if they agree, disagree, have other ideas, etc...

  1. Lower Crit Chance - This was already done before last patch, but I think that potentially lowering the crit chance a little more could really help lower the power spike of the item, as on it's own it won't be quite as powerful or intimidating with a lower crit chance.

  2. Lower Passive Damage - This one I'm a bit iffy on as this might really hurt the viability of the weapon and potentially render it not worth the gold if crit damage is not boosted significantly enough.

  3. Increase Gold Price - This was another idea, but what if the gold price was increased further so that it would take longer for players to build the item early? This way it would be built more along the mid/end game where people start buying more defensive options, and would stop ADCs/Assassins from running around and potentially one-shotting people. This would also have an increased risk to trying to build it early as opponents might build other offensive items that'd give them the edge over you, and potentially lead to you getting shut down because of it.

Change the passive to:

Crits ignore 33% of the target's armor. That would break even with the current passive at values at of 150 armor or more.

Then remove Last Whisper from the game.

Kill two birds with one stone. Rangers deal less mind-exploding damage and AD Assassins aren't grabbing Whisper and murdering everything forever.

I think they should just remove it and add its passive to some sub-3000 gold item.

They already lowered the crit chance

Its fine as it is. The -5% crit is def noticeable... especially if you want shiv. Its still strong and ADC's are horrid without being fed. Mobility and burst and being focused 80% of the time is the downfall of ADC but its a risk we take...
