The PBE Recurve Bow should've dealt magic damage instead of physical

Atm, item 1043 currently builds into 2 items; item 3085 and item 3091. Both of which are seen as lackluster by most people. They are niche.

On PBE ( http://www.surrenderat20.net/2015/04/413-pbe-update.html#bal1 ), Recurve Bow is going to build out of 2 daggers and give 10 bonus physical damage on-hit. It is also going to become a component of item 3153 and item 3710 the devourer enchantment.

Recurve bow should deal 10 magic damage on-hit, and Runaan's should deal 10 magic damage on-hit, since before that used to be on the bolts only, but it couldn't crit. Doing this will be a buff to Kalista who is already in a good place as it is (dont believe me, go check out the top 10 players, 7 of whom are ADC mains and all but one of them have Kalista as one of their most played champ.)

Recurve bow is finally getting the change that we on-hit players have been asking for for a long time, but the 10 physical damage shouldn't be physical. The only on-hit item with physical damage is Bork and you are getting that for the passive, which is huge especially vs tanks. Give us junglers and on-hit tops something that we have been asking for since S2 when Wits End fell from grace

I didn't know that "on-hit builds" represented a player type...

it would be a subset of bruisers, mainly people who play a lot of Irelia MasterYi Skarner Volibear Warwick XinZhao who all benefit hugely from AS and tankiness

I'm aware of that. What I mean is your comment makes "on hit builds" sound like a lifestyle, not a build set.

Why is this being downvoted?

There have been dozens of topics suggesting a remake to Recurve that would grant ~10 OnHit magic damage and everyone seemed to think it was a swell idea. Honestly, I still think physical OnHit damage is a dumb concept. If you want physical damage just build AD and Crit for heaven's sake.

So with all these threads like this (at least 2) I have a question.

Why does it matter? Its TEN damage! If it were true damage it might be worth complaining over. As is its only gonna be ~5 damage of any kind no matter what.

I agree, but not for the reasons you listed. Both item 3091 and item 3710 already deal bonus magic damage and not physical damage, so it would only make sense, plus add that 10 damage to item 3153.
